Okay, I like D'antoni, a lot. I like the style he put into place, I like how he treats the players with respect, and I like the fact that they don't have long practices because I use to practice a lot and it became very repetitive.
The fact remains, D'antoni needs to start preaching some defense. You have to make critical stops when you need it. Sooner or later you run out of time and if you can't stop a play when the game is tied, you have issues. STAT needs to work on his defense. Give the man credit, he has improved his jumper, his free throw shooting and blocking shots, now he just needs to work on moving his feet more for better positioning. .... Back to D'antoni, Give it one more season before we start calling for his and kerr's heads. Give D'antoni one season to instill defense into his players. If D'antoni can't teach defense, then let him move on.
As far as Kerr is concerned, give the guy a break. This is his first year, and only mid way through the season he made one huge trade, it takes time to work. Give it time. If after one year they are still having problems, then its the ax.
