Hell yeah they are the real deal.  How many announcers said that the Lakers had it easy against the Nuggets...most of them.  Not true...the Lakers are just that good.  granted I would say the Jazz are better than the nuggets, but we took them to be down by 19, never let them get closer to down by 4 and beat them by 11.  was not rusty at all after a 5 day break.  I woud say the nuggets were a good team, but the Lakers are dominaters.  everyone will see once the jazz are gone in 5 games.  need to work a little on the rebounds, but regardless....

LAKERS ARE THE REAL DEAL

Just a first game. The second game will have to improve on rebound. The third game in Utah will be a beast. That will be the litmus test of how the Lakers survive in a rough environment.

if the Lakers can just cut down on the offensive rebounds givin up 2 like 12- 15 a game then we will be winnin this game by close to 20, if we do that the rest of this series will be much easier

Hell yeah they are the real deal. Can't argue with you there, lakerwolf!  But it's not just these playoffs that have me all tingly, it's the prospect of next season that's really got me goin'.  As good as the Lakers are at this moment, the thought of them coming out of training camp next year with Bynum and Ariza fully re-integrated is almost too much to bear.  That team is gonna to be kicking ass in so early and so often that I almost feel sorry for the rest of the league - it's almost not fair.

You guys are Naive. Like I said in another post the Lakers are not as superior as you think. I dont think the Jazz win this series only because they don't have the home court but this series will go 7 and it will be way to close for comfort. Whatever idiot predicted a 5 games series is a stupid homer.  Wake up and open your eyes this will be a good series!!!!

Jazz don't be a hater man...I gave you guys one game in Utah which you will be lucky to get.  I mean come on chill out man...dont be mad because you see a sweep in the future.

You guys aren't one of the dominate Lakers teams of the past infact you are VERY vulnerable.  You think you're great because you swept the Nuggets every other team in the western conferince playoffs would have swept the nuggets, and because you swept the nuggets you think you're going to sweep the Jazz (sorry give us one game in SLC that we will be lucky to get) stop smoking your bong long enough to think realistically.  The Lakers are good but not that good.  This series goes 7 games.

I'll tell you what, guys - and at the risk of getting a little ahead of myself, let me just say this - IF the Lakers manage to win the next two games on the road against a team of substance like the Jazz, and end up with a sweep to go 8-0 in these playoffs to get themselves to the Western Conference Finals, then I would say that the Lakers are unequivocally, and without question, the real deal.  And, what's better is that I can't imagine you'd find anyone who would disagree with that statement.

***Jefe, great point. Ignorance blinds reality sometimes however so there might be a few non believers still out there. L.A. could take the whole thing. It is totaly possible to win 2 in Utah. I think D. Fish plays better in Utah, with all the boos as motivation and all.

One thing I don't get is how people say the Nuggets were such an easy team.... first when the series began they were saying it would be really tough to get a sweep and saw six games in the future (announcers and "analyzers"), but now that we swept them, they are saying that they shut down before and never wanted it.  come on...really?  I mean the reason they shut down is because we gave them no hope....we never allowed them to come back into the game or series.  to me i think that is dominance and not a shut down...I mean... how else did they get 50 wins? a team that was under .500 gave the "best team in the league" a run for their money.... and people still think that the celts are a hard core team after winning 2 with cleavland.  I just wish people would give us the same amount of credit.  dunno....Laker haters I guess.  Lets go boys....10 point win tonight....LAKE SHOW!!!!
