I know John Stevens is desperate to find some scoring and to ignite his team, but his reconfigured lines for tomorrow night are a real head scratcher.  He's not only splitting up Mike Richards and R.J. Umberger, his best combination, he's moving Richards from center to wing.  What have you heard in Philly?

Thank you Alfred,a TRUE Philly fan, nice too see you know your teams.

The Flyers beat the Sabres in 75,for the "Cup"

I know they lost the "cup" in 76 to the Habs in four straight. (Not to shabby at all...)

Well done Alfred for the numbers, but I think I was right for Axeman he would have been very young for the last Championship team in The City of Brotherly Love.

Four pro teams to root for, Lava.

Eagles -- No Super Bowl titles, last title was in '60, about seven, eight years before they started calling it the Super Bowl

Flyers -- Won Stanley Cup back to back in '73-74 and '74-75

Sixers -- Last won it in '83

Phillies -- Last won it in '80 (that's their only WS title in 125-plus years of existence, though the Philadelphia Athletics won a bunch before moving to Kansas City)

You are right, though, I had just turned 6 when the Sixers won our last pro title. Unfortunately for me, I didn't get to celebrate it, as I didn't start following sports until fall '84 when my dad let me stay up late to watch a Monday Night Football Dolphins-Jets game. I instantly became a Dan Marino fan. (See P-burghers, I don't hate all things from P-burgh. And if that pic is JReeze, I don't hate her, either. Look at her. How could you? And she's a BoSox fan, as am I. Go BoSox!)

Villanova won the NCAA hoops title in '85 in what is widely considered the biggest upset in sports history. Some consider that a Philly title, some don't, since 'Nova technically is outside of city limits. I do. I'm a Temple grad, but 'Nova fan. My sister went there and my dad's been taking me to games there since I was 10 or so.

Axe...laugh everytime I see Richie Kotite!  Hahaha..remember you told me the story behind it.  Very funny though.

I was on the Wings/Stars mini-thread (nothing like this one) earlier and they were talking about Crosby and diving too...they obviously haven't been watching this series. Agree about the Malkin / Hatcher tie up.  Malkin has played great overall though.

Don't understand what JohnStevens is doing...he's getting out coached that's for sure.

Will there ever be a game that the pens play that there is not complaints for diving.  I understand that the hooking call was soft since hatcher didn't really hook him...the problem was that it was a strong tripping penalty...lol.  He hooked him the problem was that it wasn't around his waist or his arms it was his stick being twisted up with his legs and his stick impeded his ability to move and it tripped him...so yes bad hooking call but it was still a tripping they just called it wrong.  Either way thats not a dive...before I die I would like to get through one game without hearing the claim "dive dive dive"...Go Pens
