Absolutely needed home court to beat a sub 500 8 seed.  Way to go Boston, way to live up to the sickening and ridiculous hype.

Let's see the Hawks made it to the play-offs but they are a bad team?  Yes, the Celtics should have won in a 4 game series but they didn't and that is because the Hawks played their butts off, give the Hawks all the credit in the world!

I'm not too sure how you can title a thread "YAWN" when the series went seven games.  I'm with yawkeeway, you have to give credit where it's due.  The Hawks gave it their all.  I have to give them credit for winning even ONE game against a team like the Celtics

Way to make the playoffs interesting Boston and Atlanta!  Even though the Hawks lost, I thoroughly enjoyed watching them put up a fight.

On a final note, I would love to see Celtics take it all the way from here.  Good Luck Boston!

Yes D West 23, there is no way you can call this series a YAWN!  I mean this series went the distance 7 games!  Yes the Celtics blew the Hawks out of the water this game, but still this series went 7 when no one gave the Hawks a chance to win one game!

How could you say that the hype is rediculous, this team has won 70 games, obviously there is going to be hype.

Forget about hype, forget about records...IT IS THE PLAYOFFS! Win and move on...It doesn't matter how you do, you just do it. So they were taken to a 7th game? so what! The moved on. The playoffs are about matchups, gameplanning and execution...When you play someone 7 games in a row you know every play and every tendency each player has...It is why teams with deeper benches move on...Survive and move on...Congrats to the Hawks on a great series...Bring on Cleveland, who I think the Celtics are a matchup nightmare for

I happened to think it was a very good series.  The Hawks played extremely hard but in the end the Celtics did what they were suppose to do.  I am trying to word this properly to not look like I am making excuses.

The hawks are young and athletic.  They don't shoot the ball well from the outside and because they are young they are not as disciplined as veteran teams.  The hawks slash very well to the basket and are very active on the boards.  I think in atlanta, the hawks got the bennefit of calls around the basket.  I do not think the reffs were being bias in atlanta, I think they got caught up in the emotion of the crowd and blew the whistle a few to many times.  Free throw shooting played a huge part in atlanta's wins.

In the end the more talented veteran team won but you have to give the hawks credit for playing as hard as they did the entire series.  I honsetly believe the hawks would have given a number of teams prolems simply because of their energy and athletism.
