I'm very surprised with the outcome to Game 1.  I guess I just couldn't accept how good the Hornets really are.  After watching them, I wouldn't be surprised if this series ended with the Hornets besting the Spurs.  I think Tyson Chandler will be the crucial part of their team throughout the playoffs, he's finally getting noticed as a marqee big man.

I see this series starting off similar to the Maveriks series.  The Hornets will take care of home court, and will go up 2-0 in the series with two convincing wins.  Once at home, the Spurs will take care of business and tie the series 2-2.  Hornets will then take game 5 w/ a double digit win at home; and finish off the series in SA with a close victory.

Yeah jansenyett point is if they shot better earlier they would have been  up more earlier.  Not just by 4 (despite looking so much better then the Hornets) More threes better FG % all that... the Hornets hustle plays kept them in it.  If they nailed their free throws they  would have kept us down by more.  That was Jefes point... And that is called momentum.  Hornets had it all going into the Second half.  Outplayed other then the offensive boards and down only 4 that is a victory.  They were still in the game.  Their defense on Duncan and keeping him off the boards (with being down by 4 is what helped them win the game) the Spurs looked like the jump shooting team compared to the Hornets the driving team...

If Hornets win game 2 we can take it in 6 we can beat them at their house (can is key word not we will) they can beat us here too so we have to take care of home court both games...

the Spurs can use their "championship d" to try to lock down cp3, but then you have peja and d west to worry about. the only question was experience and their bench. the bench has been steppin up and who needs "experience" when you produce like they have been. Tim Duncan got shut down. maybe we should talk about the Hornets d.

the spurs aren't going to walk past the hornets. i don't even think they can win but if they do it'll be a game 7. otherwise, the hornets win in 6

This series is all but over. SA has never under Pop gone down 2-0 in the playoffs. The young guns (NO and LAL) are the new standard of the West. Amazing what fresh legs and a sick athletic team can do to SA. CP3 is crazy.

Out with the old, in with the new.  It is time for the Spurs to fade away into the Sunset.  There is no way their old team will be able to keep up with the Hornets.  They will be lucky not to get swept.  I live here in San Antonio, and lived in Los Angeles when they won with Shaq and Kobe.  Gotta tell you, it is extremely annoying how stupid fools who have nothing going on in their lives just boast about "their team" and trash others.  Here in San Antonio, jerks call in to the radio show hosted by a HOMER and they all get together and talk about "others do not have championship pedegree."  None of my professional teams are doing well now, but they have in the past.  And man, when they get on a roll again, I will enjoy it and keep it to myself.  Arrogance is so annoying and I am glad the Spurs, Patriots, and Lakers got thump when they did.  It is great to see the Hornets take them down with rough play and hit them in the mouth.  Down 0-2 Spur fans, where is your arrogance now?  Oh yeah, you guys will beat the Hornets at home,  and win it all due to Pop and his great championship team.  It is over, and now your decline begins and will not be back for YEARS to COME!  I AM LOVING IT!

The biggest thing SA has to worry about is getting a win at all at this point.

i think the Hornets are the team to finally figure out the Spurs... they hav an answer for Tim Duncan and spurs dont hav an answer for cp3... and i agree that the hornets are just to quick and such a good team team that its gunna be hard for the spurs to come back from this one.... the hornets just hav too many offensive weapons and are really good defensively.... hornets beat the spurs in a 4-1 series ( ill give the spurs one at home)

Jayhawk: Getting a win at all? C'mon. They are the defending champs. They aren't getting swept out of the playoffs.

The Spurs can still take this series. At minimum they will take it 7.

i think da Hornets will win it simply because of paul. he and th hornets may be the most overlooked player and team in da post-season in recent history.
