first off- If Pac-man wasnt such a big issue then why did you dedicate a whole thread to talk about him.

I dont necessarily think you have to worry about him per-say but i know we dont have Nate Jones, or Jacquez Reeves back there in the secondary anymore. And those two guys are who your recievers burned in the playoff game right before half.

as far as the rest Newman noone ever throws to his side and thats the primary reason he has only gone to the probowl once. Since we just upgraded our secondary we arent going to have Roy Williams back in coverage with Plaxico Burress.

Dont be so quick to count out jenkins either. He has the speed to run step for step with your speedy recievers.

Manningham is a bum by the way he definately doesnt have any seperation speed to get away from corners....almost every ball he caught in college was all contested.....Now bring that into the NFL and that doesnt sit well. especially not against what could arguably turn into the best secondary in the NFL the one and only Dallas Cowboys. mark my words.

Cardinals Rams Buccaneers 49ers Browns Vikings Peyton Manning Shaun Alexander Panthers Bears Yankees Mets Tony Gonzalez Jason Witten Hines Ward Deion Branch Larry Fitzgerald Fred Taylor Randy Moss Tom Brady sucks White Sox Red Sox Ichiro Suzuki Diamondbacks Roger Clemens Reggie Wayne Bobby Engram Walter Jones Willie Parker Joey Porter Steelers Antonio Gates David Wright Carson Palmer Vincent Jackson Derek Jeter Johnny Damon Jay Cutler Chester Taylor Santana Moss Marvin Harrison Brandon Jacobs sucks Falcons Packers Eli Manning sucks Tony Romo Philip Rivers Brian Westbrook Michael Strahan Bernard Berrian Randy Johnson D.J. DCjae0283,

Pac-man isn't a big issue. We just think it's funny that the Cowboys find it necessary to load up a good team with criminals, or criminal elements. Are they trying to be the new Raiders? If so, you had better start winning some playoff games soon.

I just heard that Jerry Jones went to visit Vick in prison. Are you guys looking for a back-up QB in a few years? He'll probably be cheap. League minimum plus 3 Pitbulls as a signing bonus.

"especially not against what could arguably turn into the best secondary in the NFL the one and only Dallas Cowboys. mark my words."

Sorry, that award goes to the Raiders at this point.  That and RB are about the only two spots that they are actually good at.

As far as Manningham always catching contested balls, I don't get your point.  That just means he has a nose for the ball and knows how to jockey for it, which would translate well into and over the middle receiver.  He had quite a few catches in college and if all of them were contested then he must have one hell of a pair of hands.  I'll take that over speed.  There are countless WRs that came into the league with speed that translated into nothing in the NFL.  Great hands and the knowledge of how to best put yourself in the position to get the ball sounds like alot more of a complete WR then one coming in with speed.  As far as speed he did run a 4.40 in the 40.  He got alot of slack b/c his first 40 he ran a 4.59 but he redeemed himself with a 4.40 in his second attempt.  Thats pretty quick, especially for someone who is considered slow.  So between his hands and 4.40 speed I don't see how you can say he wouldn't translate into at least a good WR in the NFL.  Your just regurgitating what some moronic "supposed" NFL expert (their sports networks call them that for advertising) on the internet wrote who probally watched a couple of games if any on him where he didn't get good seperation and was tagged with that until he can prove himself in the NFL.  And picking him in the third round of all things is a steal.

Must really chap your a$$es that Pacman is a Cowboy, otherwise, why would there be an entire thread dedicated to him on a Giants board?

Adam Jones is a thug, pure and simple. I doubt he will ever get it together enough to even step on the field for us. But he is an outstanding football player, and we gave the Titans basically nothing for him. Matter of fact, if he doesn't play this year, we get back the pick we gave up for him next year. We risk absolutly nothing in this deal, the potential payoff being we add one of the best cornerbacks in the league to an already strong group. The NFL is full of thugs, and I don't need any of them to raise my kids. My only interest in players that wear the star is whether or not they can play football. If my kids need a role model, I'll tell them to look to the NYPD/ FDNY, not a guy that chases a ball around a field for a living. If he plays, good for us. If he doesn't, doesn't really matter.

The Giants are the defending Super Bowl Champions. They deserve all the respect that a Super Bowl Champion deserves. Going forward, they are an elite team. That being said, taking into account age and talent, I'll take the Boys roster over any in the league, with or without Adam Jones.

You know I'm right.

dc,

I sure did play football, along with pretty much every other sport.  I have also spained my ankles multiple times and had 3 knee surgeries and a seperated shoulder.  So I know some weeks are better then others when it comes to injuries, there's no telling when a good or bad day can come.  Plus, have you ever heard of cortisone shots??

You also said we are tight people...?  Please elaborate.

Oh, and don't you worry for we are not wrried about newman.

To the last posters comments, the question on whether he can play is not the matter...it's if his distractions will be distractions for the rest of the team...it may happen, it may not....but you can not expect him to be a model citizen, all you can do is hope

Fear,

Thanks forpaying your respects to both our team and our cities police/fire departments.  It does mean a lot, for there are fans out there that like to downplay our achievements.  Your team is high up there on the rankings and I would feel comfortable if I were you as well.  But I'd take our defense over yours at this point, and too be honest our offense as well.  I think both teams will be very good for the years to come, and we should see some heated battles within this great rivalry.  Some will go our way, some will go yours.

Either way, good luck and can't wait to see you gusy next year...

Fear,

Have you read the entire thread yet? It was born out of comedy and it turned into a discussion of Pacmans merits and faults. I was only trying to make light of the new acquisition. I don't know if he'll be allowed to play even, but probably a smart move on the Cowboys part to get him for nothing. Worth the risk because he is talented. If he could screw his head on straight, I would be worried.
