9/27 - Minnesota

10/4 - Wisconsin

10/11 - Purdue

10/18 - Michigan State

10/25 - Penn State

11/8 - Northwestern

11/15 - Illinois

11/22 - Michigan

Who couldn't go to a BCS bowl every year with that Conference schedule? Even Georgia Southern could be above .500 with that.

Can I borrow your crystal ball since you seem to know how all those teams will be in 2008?

Northwestern is a better program than Vandy and they will probably be better this season

Illinois will be better than Auburn this season

Florida will probably be better than Michigan

Minnesota will be bad, Wisconsin is a top 15 team, Purdue has a QB getting Heisman mention, Michigan State is on the rise I wouldn't be surprised to see them in the top 25, Penn State is always a solid team not elite this year but still along the lines of say Alabama or Tennessee, Northwestern is a bad team, Illinois is top 25, and scUM is a rivalry game and the records get tossed out the window on that.  So only 2 of those 8 games are really "weak."

Makes ZERO sense.  I'll tell you why: tough schedules don't make good teams.  For example, I thought Washington had the toughest schedule in the country last year and they weren't very good.  However, I think they were better than their record indicated.  I feel the same way about Vandy.  But saying one team is better b/c of the schedule they play is ridiculous.

Illinois will be better than Auburn this season

That is at best debateable.  Nothing to indicate that on my radar screen.  I would have to see more than one year.  Auburn gets almost everyone back too.

9/27 - Minnesota  = Ole Miss  Ole Miss is bad....Minnesota is worse than bad.  Horrible

10/4 - Wisconsin  = Tenn  OK

10/11 - Purdue  = Miss St  OK, but maybe slight edge to Boilers

10/18 - Michigan State  = Arkansas OK, maybe edge to Spartans

10/25 - Penn State  = Alabama Probably but this one could go either way

11/8 - Northwestern  = Vandy  Vandy is mediocre....Northwestern lost to Dook

11/15 - Illinois  = Auburn  I am from Missouri.  I don't buy this at all.

11/22 - Michigan  = Florida OK but only based on Bowl game....I suspect Gators better in 08

I mostly agree with this post

im not a person who roots for the conference but some people on this board are such idiots I feel I have to attempt to defend it

Northwestern and Vandy could go anyway if they were to battle head to head, Northwestern has some offensive power (31st in the country last year in total offense compared to vandy who was 104th) its just that their defense is pretty bad (81st in the country in total defense last year. vandy was 21st), things change year to year though right now there is no telling what either of these teams might do during the season.

Minnesota was epicly terrible last year, they were dead last in the nation in total defense, they did have a great recruiting class by Minnesota's standards this year though so I mighty expect them to improve a little (by 2 maybe 3 wins, they only won 1 game last year).

Florida will be better than Michigan this year though without question, Michigan is a mess right now

Minnesota was horrible last year, but I expect them to only be bad this year.  Right there with Ole Miss is not an exageration.

IL is as good as Juice Williams is on that particular day.  Zook is making strides with him, but his passing is still highly inconsistant.  I think the OSU game was a fluke in his passing and he will be back on the gorund next year.  Auburn on the other hand is only as good as their defense.  Their offense was lame at best last year with the occational sign of life.  Remember, this is the same team that could only manage 20 points against an embarassingly bad FL defense last year.

Penn St is fa better than Bama.  Saban might be able to put something together there, but it wont be this year.  Another very good recruiting class, but not enough to rise above mediocrity.

Ark was a 2 trick pony for the last couple years and now both ponies are gone.  They wouldnt stand a chance against MSU this year.

Oh and none of what I typed means a thing.  There are so many things that can happen during a season that makes it impossible to predict what will happen next week, not to mention 4 months from now.

EX. Tebow slips on a banana peel while running wind sprints and tears his ACL.

Beanie Wells dislocates his shoulder doing squats trying to impress the womens wresting team.

Les Miles loses his hat and with it, all of his decision making capabilities.

If we are just talking about THIS year then who the heck knows who will be better.

But just looking at the lineups and who is coming back I would think that Auburn would be better than Illinois (who seems to have a hard time being consistent over the last...ole 10-15 years).

And Florida, I would think, would have a significant edge over Mich this year just due to who Mich lost and how young Fla was and who they have coming back.

Ark was a 2 trick pony for the last couple years and now both ponies are gone.  They wouldnt stand a chance against MSU this year.

Yeah I think Ark will struggle some this year. But they reload RB's routinely so there will not be too much slack in that position. Also, to state they wouldn't have a chance against MSU this year is odd.

When I checked MSU is only returning 10 starters...TOTAL.  5 on offense and 5 on defense from a team that went 7-6 last year. So I think you are probably mistakingly UNDERESTIMATING Ark program a little and OVERESTIMATING Mich St.'s just a tad. I mean over the last 10 years Ark has been MUCH MUCH  better than Mich St. and with their current coach shouldn't have too much trouble reloading as opposed to Michigan St.

JMO though.
