Austin's an awesome coach. I'm writing from Canada and Austin played QB up here for our Saskatchewan Roughriders back in 1989 and won a Grey Cup (CFL championship). Last year Saskatchewan hired him to be our head coach in his first head coaching job and we won the Grey Cup (it was our first Grey Cup since 1989 in an 8-team league). The only reason he was available is because he was the offensive coordinator for Toronto and he got fired half way through the previous season because his offence wasn't doing much. Toronto had signed Ricky Williams so everyone assumed that Ricky was going to destroy the CFL defences but, as usual, everyone underestimated the CFL and never realized that Ricky needs an offensive line to be successful in any league like any other RB would. Toronto was also down to their 3rd string QB - Eric Crouch from Nebraska - and everyone was surprised that they couldn't move the ball with him at the helm despite having Ricky Williams (Crouch never could throw, even in college. He was only made the team because he was a "bigtime" US college name). Austin was totally the scapegoat but Saskatchewan was happy with the decision. His offence is very efficient and is all about spacing. You'll love it. We had receivers wide open all over the field and he's not afraid to keep defences honest with the deep ball. Austin's going to be a great college head coach some day for sure. He's a total professional, down-to-earth and sure knows football. We'll sure miss him this year.
