Prisco is just stating his opinions, but i agree he does seem to have a thing for hating the Jets though the moves they make will pay off in the long run.
Gholston is a great pick up, this will push OLB Bryan Thomas to play harder, though i want Gholston to start in his place. But with those 3 guys rushing the passer, that will help us in all categories on defence.
Trading back into the 1st round to get Dustin Keller he says is risky, though i disagree. The Jets wouldn't have landed him with there second rounder, plus he can slide out and play slot reciever for us (Like Dallas Clark for the Colts). He is the TE threat in the middle we need, he will help take the heat off Jerricho Cotchery and Coles, so with this move our offence becomes more dinamic. Aswell, i think it's plain stupid for Prisco to note that even if we traded back into the 1stround we should have taken a QB, but why? Pennington is a solid QB that knows how to complete and make all the throws (just not with a strong arm, which he needs), Clemens is still in the process of "QB of the future", and he has lots of potential, even if he had bad stats it was because of our terrible OL (who gave up 50+ sacks), give the guy a chance now since we revamped our line in FA. and now we have Eric Ainge who also has pontential (with a big frame) to become the Jets QB of the future.
In the past, we've had lots of success with our 4th round DP, and this year we drafted a CB, which was one of our big holes that we haven't filled. (Beside Revis at the #2 CB spot we don't have a solid starter), so drafting Lowery was a good pick-up, and i hope he stays playing CB and not moving to safety, all he has to do is get the deep speed to follow the WR to be able to play man-to-man. He has the other things like ball skills and awareness, etc, and now to compete for the #2 CB spot he needs to get the deep speed to do so.
Marcus Henry is that Red Zone reciever with great hands that we need, plus he has great speed after the catch, i hope he can make a impact and get the #3 Slot reciever spot which puts Brad Smith at #4. The OT in the 7th is for depth, in building a younger OL for the future.
As for Prisco, he can say what he wants but us Jets fans are strong and proud of our team, even when we make bad decisions or have bad seasons, we still stick with our team. So i could care less what that low life says about the Jets, he just on the ban wagon with all the other hippi's.!
