Kevin Love is starting to make sense as a draft option for the Bulls. He does indeed remind me of a stronger David Lee. He could be a rebounding machine. If the Bulls move Tyrus Thomas, then I might pick Love. He could be a great back-up for DDrew Gooden and contribute right away.

I will have to think about it some more, but what do all of you think? I know we could use a Back-up PG, but Love could be a real nice addition. He is strong, smart, and plays with heart. Something to think about.

ChiTownCliff,

I could be wrong (and usually am), but i worry that he won't be that "monster rebounder" at the next level because he doesn't have quite the vertical leap he will need.

I give him credit on his positioning though, but the NBA players are more likely not going to allow him that, as much.

Given his strength factor that is very high, he could prove to be a good PF. I wouldn't be dissapointed if Pax took him at 9 though.

I hear that his B-ball IQ is very high, that has to be in his favor.

I don't see Love being a superstar which is what you look for in a top ten pick.  I wouldn't be suprised to see him average right around 10 pts 10 rbs right of the bat which is good but not outstanding.

The last two years they have used their #1 pick to draft a PF and they also have Gooden now so I would like them to go after the best PG available.  The Bulls have a ton of young talent but don't seem to have the PG who can consistently make plays for himself and his teammates.  Just watching the difference a good point has made for teams like the Hornets and Jazz makes me want the Bulls to use their #1 pick on the best PG available.   It would be nice to see them pull a top three pick in the lottery and have a shot at Rose from Memphis.

Nesh54,

Yes, a PG would also be nice, but landing Rose will not happen. Also, landing a superstar is hard to do with the 9th pick. Rose and Beasley will be stars for sure, but who else. The Bulls should trade away Tyrus Thomas and then we will have a need for a smart level-headed PF to come off the bench. 10 ppg and 10 rpg is pretty solid and Love seems to be a class act. However, coming off the bench I would be happy with 7ppg and 6rpg in 15 min. Kirk Hinrich has just had an offseason, so expect him to improve this next season and be his old self, which is a top ten PG in the NBA. We need just a back-up PG at this point.

Most importantly we need a great coach like Avery Johnson to revive this team. We the parts we just need someone who knows how to use them.

ginney,

I agree that Love will have problems do to his lack of a leaping ability, but I think he coula make up for it with his bball IQ. Being in the right spot is often better then being able to jump. cuople that with his size and I bet he could be a very solid rebounder. Imagine if Tyrus Thomas had a bball IQ along with his freakesh leaping ability. He would average 15 rpg.

With 15 minutes off the bench I bet Love could produce 7ppg and 7rpg. Because of his brains he might dish out a few assists as well. I think that is a step up from Tyrus.

Thanks for your comments.
