Our Twins took a good one from the White Sox last night. We still aren't producing runs. We're still not taking advantage of the guys we're getting on base. Carlos Gomez isn't getting on base, therefore unable to steal bases. Delmon Young had a pair of hits that did nothing for us. I'm a huge Young fan, but hit the d*mn ball when there are people on the bases!!!
Too many people are swinging without a clue. It's getting out of hand.
I think this game was important though. I think today's game, which starts in a minute is important too. Nick Blackburn needs to rebound from his last start and our bats need to route Nick Masset like they did last time.
It's just time to start laying some wood. It's time to stop making excuses. I loved Boof Bonser's attitude after his last start. "I don't care about quality starts. I dno't care about going 6-7 innings. I care about wins. I want to win." Now we need that to get into the head of some of our other guys, like in the bullpen with Matt Guerrier and Juan Rincon.
These games within the division are most important. To take some from the ChiSux and some from the Tigers. If we keep excelling within the division then we'll be in a good place to be close down the road.
