No real surpise.  Especially with as many players coming back (Clark, Thabeet, etc...).  For Louisville - they may have a 7-9 loss season and still be great.  I just don't think anyone has the talent to roll through the Big East with just a loss or two.  Too many great teams.  Should make for a fun season to watch.  Go Cards!

Ive heard alot of people talking about a 1 or 2 loss season in the Big East not saying its not going to happen but Really we could finsh 4th or 5th in conference and still be a 3 seed in March.  Its gonna be Brutal I also heard we play Tubby's Golphers this year anybody else heard this??

We play them, but not in Louisville or Minnesota.  We play them in one of those early season tournaments/showcases.  Should be a good game.  Tubby's got 'em headed in the right direction.

That's about the worst preseason poll I've ever seen.  We have virtually the same team returning with the National High School Player of the year replacing Padgett and additional frontcourt players in George Goode and Terrance Jennings.  So why is Oklahoma, a team we beat by 30 in the tournament ranked ahead of us?  What a joke.  And definitely look for the Sophomore slump to affect all of those young Purdue players in their second year.  They won't surprise as many people.

I thought that as well but top 10 is ok by me.  Im sure as long as no freak injuries happen in the off season we should be a top 5 team in the AP and coaches preseason polls.  But honestly the Big East is ridiculously Deep we could be a 9 team league this year maybe more.  Its gonna be exciting.

So why is Oklahoma, a team we beat by 30 in the tournament ranked ahead of us?this is puzzling to me as well.  unless that 5star point guard they are getting is better than chris paul.

Looks like  a blast in the BE this year. Can't wait to hear the big mouths saying "well the ACC is the best conference or from top to bottom the PAC 10 is the toughs conf." Look at it if any body says the BE is not the best conf. hands down he really doesn't know squat. If a team loses 5 games in the conf. this year they could be in 1st this year. Too much talent on the teams this year  don't see any team with less than 4or 5 losses. Unless the get a sch. set up just rite. But at the end we know THE VILLE will give us the THRILL.

Our top 12 teams from the Big East were the best from top to bottom in any conference.  But our bottom feeder were horrible and that is what brought are conference RPI down.  The Big East will be tough this year we are gonna be a 12 deep conference that is scary.  We may have 4-6 losses in conference and still win the league

I like our chances to win a lot more than the Big East. The BE champ is going to have 3-4 losses minimum. The schedule those late Saturday big games followed by Monday night road games(Seton Hall last year) that guarantee a couple of losses for everybody. UL is deep, experienced, talented and you know Pitino's history. He wants that record of national champs at 2 different schools for validation. His stints in the NBA will keep him from challenging Knight for most wins, today's parity will keep overall winning percentage below  TARK the SHARK"S, so his legacy will be championships and final fours at most schools. If the BE were a 12 team league, they would have the best RPI in NCAA. Marquete should be down this year as will Georgetown, but Cincy and West Virginia are on the way up again. Pitt, UConn, Villanova, ND,etc will be tough. 18 game schedule also makes it hard to escape 3-4 losses. I think that will keep us in the 10-15 ranking regular season, but watch out come tourney time.

I kind of wonder where they will find room for all of these signess. They will only have three scholarships open up next year; T-Will, Andree McGee,a nd presumable Earl Clark. Maybe one more if Samuels has a breakout year and goes pro. Well, if Halloway doesn;t work out, I guess that's five. Wait, what was I saying. Nevermind....
