SEC fans, please come to reality

THERE WILL BE NO PLAYOFF UNTIL 2014.  End of discussion.

No, "well maybe this...", or "leave out the Rose Bowl...", or "start something else..."

EVERYONE wants a playoff.  Just cause the Big 10 and Pac 10 commissioners dont want one doesnt mean that they represent the entire fan base.  That is like saying George Bush represents you as an American to the rest of the World, so whatever George Bush wants means that you want that also because you are an American. 

I am a Big 10 Fan, I want a playoff cause then all the SEC crying can stop and the OSU bashing can stop because anyone who isnt an egocentric SEC fan understands that OSU has as much if not more talent on the field than any team in college football.  OSU gets blamed cause all your other teams lost to crappy teams last year... UGA to USC (didnt make bowl game), USC to stanford, WVU to Pitt etc.  Use some logic, they were the only 1 loss team.  The deserved to be there.   

OSU has more players in the NFL than anyone else.  Oklahoma lost 2 NC games in back to back years and got killed by USC worse than OSU did by Florida, yet all the posts still say the Big 12 is a good conference?  Why?  What is the logic?  OSU won one and lost two in a row in the 2000's, the Big 12 has won one and lost 2 in a row in the 2000's.  OSU plays Texas and USC in 4 of 5 OOC games. 

WE ALL WANT A PLAYOFF.  IT WILL NOT HAPPEN UNTIL THE TV CONTRACTS MEET UP BECAUSE EVERYTHING IS ABOUT MONEY.  WHY IN GODS NAME YOU THINK THAT THE BCS CARES ABOUT FINDING A TRUE CHAMPION, I DONT KNOW.  THE REALITY IS MONEY AND UNTIL ALL THE MONEY IS IN PLACE, NOTHING WILL CHANGE.  PLEASE SEC FANS, PLEASE, PLEASE!  IT IS 2008, THAT MEANS 6 MORE YEARS OF CRYING FOR YOU ON BLOGS, JUST PLEASE STOP, CRYING WONT CHANGE ANYTHING.

Nah, you don't need a playoff. Apparently, just GETTING to the National Championship game is enough for THE Most Over-rated Team In The Country.

Riddle me this Batman, what is worse?

Losing to Michigan OR Getting your "nuts" handed to you by an SEC team every year.

Until the Fluke-eyes beat an SEC team in a bowl game (recently), much less a NC game, don't post anything about your team dominates the 2nd worst BCS conference (Behind the Big East)

No player drafted from Alabama in any round of the NFL draft this year? hahaha. 

What a powerhouse.  People throw the word "suck" around alot when talking about a team who went to 3 NC games in 6 years.  How about losing to LA-Monroe and having no one good enough to even get drafted.... suck is too weak of a word.  Pathetic works better.

UNC basketball is terrible, they SUCK!  All that talent and they get bumped out early this year and last year.  Id much rather not make the tourny or the final game at all then to go that far and lose.  They go through the WEAK ACC basketball conf and then they GET KILLED by Kansas in the Final 4.  They dont even deserve to be on the same floor as the other teams there.  They had 2 pathetic showings in 2 years.  They shouldnt be allowed in the NCAA tourny for atleast 5 years from now because of how pathetic they were these last two years in the Big Games.... like that logic?

Ohio State clearly has some top talent but what happens when they square off against the SEC teams, as in each of the 9 times they've faced them? Explain it, please. Quite obviously, in my view, there is more talent, more speeed & more passion for the game top-to-bottom on the other sideline. To deny that is to ignore reality, which supposedly offends you if your subject line is to be given any credence.

All any SEC fan wants is for there to be a fair way for this whole shootin' match to be settled between the white lines & a fair crack at the initial poll positions that get a program there repeatedly (especially when that program doesn't play a challenging schedule --> see Ohio State, more often than not). We know we'll win more than our share because we already do despite the fact that the system is de facto set up to favor the preeminent programs of the north & west (Notre Lame, Michigan, Ohio State, USC, etc). That's why the Big 11 & the Pac 10 don't want change. The system favors them even though none of them other than USC can seem to ring the bell lately even given the head start. But you always get your shots whether you truly deserve them or not.

I realize that we will have to wait until at least 2011 or 2014 or whenever the TV contracts synch up, but I'll nevertheless be informing my University's Athletic Director & University President that I will not be attending any more bowl games until they are part of an acceptable 4-16 team playoff format. We can all vote with our wallets. I'm going to encourage everyone I know to do the same & would ask that anyone who loves CFB do the same. What's more important ... Tampa & Shreveport's tourism efforts or the integrity of the damned game?

As for the Big 11, Pac 10 & Rose Bowl obstructionists, go ahead & stomp your little feet & fire off not-so-pithy remarks in the media ... everybody else ditched your asses to do the Bowl Alliance & Bowl Coalition back in the day & you came on board, hats-in-hand not too long after. As great as yall think you are, you know your football is meaningless without competition with everyone else that plays at a high level.
