Last time that I checked, it actually takes 4 wins to win a series, not 3. One of the only two teams in NHL history to blow a 3 game lead? The Penguins. Early this season, the Rangers beat the Penguins three consecutive games, they can do it again. No one knows how a game 7 would go, that's always a toss-up. The Rangers have outplayed the Penguins in every game this series, and have fallen on some tough luck and poor goaltending. Who the hell knows what will happen if King Henry actually remembers that he's supposed to keep that little rubber disk out of the netting set up directly behind him.

Go Rangers!

You sound like a Rangers fan unlike the clowns in the "whiners" forum. The clowns I speak of are pens fans of course.

The Rangers outplayed the Pens in every game?????  What in the world were you watching? Despite the first ten minutes of game one and a three minute flurry in the second period of last night's game the Pens have outplayed the butt rangers in every aspect of the game! Some aggressiveness, good luck and great goaltending is what it takes to win a playoff game/series. The Rangers will play their hearts out in game 4 and still come up short. The pressure was on them to win games 2 and 3 and they couldn't get it done.

I do think that the Rangers have outplayed the Penguins at even strength this series.  And the Pens have gotten more lucky bounces for goals than the Rangers.  For the Pens the puck hits the post and goes in whereas for the Rangers it hits the post and goes the other way.  You need a bit of luck to win and thus far it doesn't seem like luck has been on the Rnagers side.

The Rangers have outplayed the Penguins in every game this series???????????? Please explain that to me. The only game the Rangers had the majority of shots and the majority of scoring chances was game 3 and the Pens still won by two goals. You make an interesting point by saying the Rangers have beaten the Pens 3 games in a row during the season and that they can do it again. The problem is that that was during the SEASON, and the playoffs are a completely different animal. Plus Sid the Kid missed a good portion of the season dealing with injuries, so I don't think you can make a realistic comparison. The series is over. It might end tommorow or the Rangers might extend it to game 5 but in the grand scheme of things it makes little difference. CincyReds explain to me how it's relevant to say that the Penguins are a team that's blown a 3 game lead before? That was a different series, against a different team, and that was 33 years ago. A better comparison would be to say, the Rangers have about as much of a chance to come back and win the series as your Cincinnati Reds do of winning the NL Central this year. Geno for MVP...GO PENS!!!!!

p.s. The only Ranger fan I agree with on any of these posts is Meg because the Penguins have gotten most of the bounces and breaks in the series. However, like she said sometimes you do need a little bit of luck to win and I think usually the best team ends up getting the luckiest.

Look, I know I have come onto your boards and talked a lot of crap but, the Pens are getting some very lucky bounces.  You guys are playing great and the series is not over.  That's what everyone said when the Yanks went up 3-0 against the Sox a few years ago.  We saw how that turned out.  Also, if memory serves me correctly wasn't there a couple of times when teams came from 3 back in the NHL.  Pitt is very talented but so is your team.  It won't be easy but you have the guns to do it, especially that cat you have in net.

How about going over to your own forum? Unlike some people on these things, I am not about whining about poor calls, and I haven't gloated or talked trash or anything. I started this post to simply remind fans of both teams that the series is not over yet, and to inspire my fellow Rangers fans. Your right, it really isn't relevant that the Penguins blew a 3-o lead, but I don't care. History tends to repeat itself. The Rangers have completely outplayed the Penguins, and I don't understand the comment about the first 10 minutes of Game 1...the Rangers scored twice in the second period..Yes, they blew a three goal lead, but to stake yourself to a three goal lead lends more to the thought process of domination. Coming back and winning is desperation. Therefore, the Rangers outplayed the Pens, they just got complacent and unlucky, the winning goal went off of a shin, if you recall. As far as Game 2, Fleury stood on his head and played a great game. The Rangers had a multitude of chances and just didn't convert. Oh, well. You can't even argue Game 3. 29-17 in shots the Rangers had more than 10 more scoring chances, hit two posts, missed two open nets, and gaffed on two 5-on-3s. The Rangers are a solid hockey team that just had a rough stretch, and this series is not over. I love people like you who assume that too, cause when we do win it 4-3, you're the most fun to see absent on these boards.

In Conclusion, if you want to talk about how great you think the Pens are, do it on the right message board.

Renney has to go.
Sather needs a REAL veteran d man. Keep Mara, just don't let him be THE vetaran Dman.

The Penguins are a better team, because they can play defense, and Fleury is playing out of his mind.

I am concerned about next season for the Rangers - Shanny is gone, Jagr might be gone, and Straka should be tossed aside cause for every goal he get's he misses an open net as well.

THANK GOD we have money..
"A spending we will go....."

Betts had a two on two and decided to dump the puck for a line change. BAD COACHING.

I have just as much right to comment on the Rangers board as you do. I thought the whole point of these message boards was to debate different opinions while sharing your opinions with others. You have to admit it's more fun debating with somebody that disagrees with you than it is to preach to the choir. If you want to go on the Penguins board and voice your opinions then by all means please do and I don't think anybody will have a problem with it. As far as the series not being over yet, technically you're right but I will be completely shocked if the series goes more than 5. If the Rangers do come back and win the series I'll be the first one on "the Rangers board" eating crow and congratulating you guys. Best of luck not getting swept.
