Boise State is listed at Bodog as 100/1 odds to win the National Championship.

Of course Fresno State isn't listed at all.  But why the hell not?  Even though neither program.....even if one or the other went undefeated would get a shot at the BCS's most prestigious game?  Why just Boise?

Its because they have wo the big game and they have proven that they can g undefeated. I think Fresno State is getting disrespected because nobody thinks that we can actually get to the NC game. They don't think that we can go undefeated.

Even with big wins vs Wisconsin and UCLA, and running the table on the rest of the schedule, the Dogs' chances of getting sent to a BCS bowl is pretty small.  Going to the NC game is beyond my imagination (but not hopes).  After Hawaii's poor showing in the Sugar Bowl, some may be turned off on selecting another WAC team for a major bowl.  The only thing Fresno can do is totally dominate opponents this year and hope to get into the Top 10 so they can at least be eligible for a BCS invite.  Also, we need to keep up the reputation that Coach Hill has established and continue to be a team that BCS teams fear matching up with on their out of conference schedules.

Right.  I write mostly out of frustration with the "BCS SYSTEM".  In reality, Kansas State is listed also as 100/1 odds to win the National Championship, and they just recently backed out of a game with us.....as you already know.  My point to all this is:  THERE WILL NEVER BE A "TRUE NATIONAL CHAMPION" IN MY OPINION......BECAUSE OF WHAT IS REALLY A "TRUE POPULARITY CONTEST".

Boise State beat Oklahoma in thier BCS appearance.....Hawaii did choke that is true, but that is like stating, "the patriots are no go" because they too went undefeated and joked the big one.  I have not watched a National Championship game in the last five years because of this system.  Sounds crazy.....but that is my protest.

Put it this way.......what if the NFL stated they would'nt allow the NFC West an opportunity to make the playoffs .....because the conference is not up to par.  I HATE THE BCS......................BUT I LOVE COLLEGE FOOTBALL..............OR REALLY..........JUST THE FRESNO STATE BULLDOGS.
