Another national nimrod (ESPN this time) was slamming the OOC schedules of the Big XII in general and OU specifically this morning. Going on and on about OU should be ashamed.
Called Washington a crap team. Called Cincinati a crap team. (Oddly enough, LSU just added Washington to the 2009 schedule and Sportsline is praising LSU for being brave enough to put them on the schedule!)
Never once mentioned that UT-Chat is on the schedule because of a whoever it was that backed out. Never mentioned that OU is aggressively pursuing matchups with FSU, OSU, Miami next year, etc, etc.
A caller from OKC called and tried to point all of this out and the doofus (don't remember which one it was) basically shouted him down and hung up on him. Then, in the next breath, said that the only team(s) that can get away with this kind of OOC is Florida (in particular) because they always put Florida State on the schedule (when was the last time FSU put anyone into cold sweats?) and the SEC (in general) because they are...yep, best conference ever! Yes, I agree the SEC is the strongest conference right now BUT it isn't that much stronger than the Big XII and it's not like the Big XII is the Big 10/11, fer cryin' out loud.
I got so pissed, I switched over to Jack.fm, because I just could take the idjit anymore. And I do understand that it is the job of these guys to generate controversy, etc, but still, it just cheeses me!!!
