It is definitely too early to be making predictions. We don't even have most of this year's recruiting class enrolled or involved in the football program yet.
Areas of Concern:
#1) Running back depth. Devine is small and in my opinion will not be able to carry the
ball 20 times a game. 20 touches a game but not 20 carries.
#2) Our secondary. We are reloading our secondary and that will take time to develop
understanding and chemistry.
#3) Defensive line. Same thing, we are reloading and will need the new players to develop
and understand the defensive scheme early (Finau in particular) and that all important
chemistry.
I fear nearly every game on our schedule. To go undefeated with this year's schedule would be a major accomplishment. The Auburn game being moved back is definitely playing to Auburn's advantage as they are learning a new offense and will have time to jell. Colorado scares the hell out of me, Mile High altitude makes visiting players tired immediately plus they are a pretty good team and have one of the top rated running backs coming in this year and he will start!!!! Louisville scares me, Pitt scares me, USF scares me (Please run out of the I against them this year). Connecticut and Cincinnati are gunning for us. Our strength of schedule should look very good this year with the exception of Villanova, Syracuse and Marshall.
I hope we go at least 10-2 and win another BCS bowl game and maintain a Top 10 or Top 5 finish.
