OAKLAND HAS GIVEN DOMINIC HIS WALKING PAPERS,TOO BAD FOR HIM
I THINK THE Colts SHOULD GIVE HIM ANOTHER LOOK AS HE IS ALREADY FAMILIAR WITH OUR SYSTEM
WE MISSED HIS POWER RUNS LAST SEASON & HE CAN CATCH ALOT BETTER THEN KEITH
HE WAS ALWAYS A TEAM GUY & GOOD SPORT WHEN HERE,I WISH HIM LUCK

Thats true, but the Colts don't like their players getting arrested and getting in trouble. Rhodes got a DUI not long after the Super Bowl. Dungy, Polian, and Irsay didn't really like that.

I think more to the point is that he's 29 now. The Colts are going to be going into camp with 7 young running backs. To be quite honest, I think Shaun Alexander could help the Colts more than Dom, and they're not interested in him either.

Rhodes is not worth resigning in my opinon. I would like to see how Mike Hart works out. If he doesn't pick up on the game maybe resign Dom to a one year deal. I know someone said that we have alot of backs on the roster we already know what Lawton Keith and Dawson have and its not much. Why take a risk on those mentioned or some undrafted free agent when youi can get a proven vet in there for a year.

I don't know how many of you watched Shaun Alexander run last year, but it was pretty sorry. He is only a shadow of his former self. I understand why Polian is not interested.
No on Dom too. He was a good back for the Colts, but it is time to move on. We only have 53 spots and a slightly above average back with little upside is not what we need.
Marcus Pollard was available as a tight end also and we didn't sign him either. Again, I suspect that there is just no upside there although he played pretty well last year in a limited role with the Seahawks.
Polian just doesn't get sentimental with his 53 spots!! To amass 5 straight 12 win seasons he can't.

I still think Dom would be an improvement over Keith, come on he was arguably the MVP of
the Super Bowl,go back & watch the 3rd & 4th Quarter runs
Granted we had a awesome O-line but Dom & Joseph had it going on in 2006
Yea I know he had a few drinks after the SB & got a DUI,hell who doesnt he served his suspension
I thought when he was allowed to carry the rock in Oakland he looked pretty goood too
Just my opinion, maybe Hart will be the 2nd coming or somthing, all I know is the run Game dropped
off drastically last year. play action was down & Manning was sacked 21 times not to mention hurries & knock downs,Addai got hurt alot & we became predictable by the time the playoffs rolled around.
No respect for the run game = Manning pressures & no play action success,we won the Super bowl because after shutting down the pass,we were able to run the ball.
Peace

I think Dom is going to want just a little too much money than what the Colts are willing to pay for a back up RB??/ When is that last time the Colts paid barely over the league minimum for a backup RB?? The colts don't need much to back up Addai. Just a guy that can block, catch the ball, and grab a few yards here and there. I think the combination of Keith and Hart will do just fine with that. Also, don't discount some of the UFA's they picked up?? Rhodes was a UFA his rookie year and went for over 1,000. So therefore, I think Rhodes will land somewhere else.

Hey Colts fans. I'm new to the forum so thought i'd pop in to say hello! Im from the UK and a big colts follower. Refering to getting Dom back.......well i must admit i do like the guy. I know he got in trouble with the DUI but he served the colts well in our most important game(SB).however i dont think i would welcome him back. firstly i think he'll demand too much money. secondly its not like the colts to go after aged talent at running back.(i could be wrong on that but from what i've seen its all young talent drafted).also i like the Hart pick. he looks like a good kid and a good work ethic.not the fastest kid around but will fit our scheme like a preverbial glove!!lastly im not a Kenton Keith lover. i never really liked the guy as he didnt show great play ability under pressure and he got in trouble with the law.i say boot kenton and put hart behind addai and as for Dominic i dont think it would be a good move to get him back

I'm not sure I like what some of you are saying, I'm personally done with him. I mean, ya leave, and you're done. He's another prime example that Colts make their players, success in Indy followed by disappointment elsewhere. Love the Mike Hart pick, lets give him the same opportunity once given to Rhodes

The Colts, I am sure haven't even given it a thought. FYI Rhodes not only having the DUI incident after the SB, was also suspended for 4 games last season for violating the league substance abuse policy...
