he just drove in the winning run with the game on the line on Sat, why not let him hit again ? He had been on base 3 of 4 times that game going into that AB, and played some great D in horrible conditions. He doesn't suck, I think putting the squeeze on with the game on the line is not smart unless you have a great bunter up there.

It's not Andersons fault, Ozzie shouldn't ask someone who can't bunt to bunt. Besides, it was a tough pitch to bunt. The first 2 hitters of the inning, Quentin and Crede had good at bats against that Baltimore pitcher, there was a good chance that Anderson would get a good pitch to hit.
I think the only good bunter the White Sox have is Ramirez.
They had plenty of opportunities yesterday ( 14 LOB ) and couldn't get at least 1 more hit that would have made the difference in a win or a tie ( at least they didn't lose).
Anderson is not a bum and didn't strike out at that at bat, the inning was over because Quentin got caught in a run down because of Anderson's failure to bunt....

Dude... Your retarded and you post sucks something fierce...... Just because he missed a bunt doesn't make him a sucky player. Given the opportunity, he can and will be one of the best CF'ers in the game and he is a very, VERY good hitter. Did you NOT see that game on SAT??? He hit TWO to the centerfield wall, one for a double and the other he just missed a HR.. Then had the game winning hit!!!!!!! Did you not watch them games? He's not your stereotypical bunter.. You ask Jim, Paulie, JD, CQ, Joe and the rest of the power hitters to lay down a bunt and I give them a 10% chance to succeed. Before you bash one of my boys, why don't you get your story straight.
GO SOX!!!

I hate these windsock posts. He's great when he drives in the game winner, he sucks when he doesn't execute. It was a 2-1count and he should have got a good pitch to bunt. It was a very buntable picth...about 4-5 inches inside and belt high. It was a good call, just bad execution.
DJ, Anderson did strike out to end the inning after Quentin was caught in the rundown. There was only 1 out when they tried the squeeze...you can't try that play with two outs.
You can't pin this on BA, with 14 men LOB...the blame lies with the whole offense. If Owens needs to come up to provide some speed, Ramirez should go down to get consistent AB's.

Why isnt anybody saying Ramirez sucks, how many did he leave on base? I just dont understand why Crede gets hit by a pitch then Anderson walks on 4 straight pitches and ramirez comes up and swings at the first pitch hitting a weak ground ball. If that was Uribe everybody would want him killed. The play he made in center making the throw to second a couple of weeks ago was amazing but that is the only thing he has done. He should not be here right now, he needs many more at bats. He is horrible right now.
DJ - Anderson did strike out, you dont do a squeeze with 2 outs. He SHOULD be able to bunt its his fault. He isnt a power hitter he isnt Konerko Dye or Thome he needs to be able to bunt. If we dont expect players of his skill level to bunt then why even mention the word small ball? He isnt a big hitter he is a hitter that hits for average with a little pop he should be able to get a bunt down. I have seen him bunt before. Dont act like he has never been asked to bunt in his life. He messed up this one, no excuse he choked. If he cant do the things needed to stay here then he should go. I was hoping he would succeed but not getting a bunt down in a huge situation is not helping the team at all.

With more playing time Brian Anderson is going to mature into a perennial all-star. Brian has good speed (not great), a plus arm, and he gets great reads on balls, so he covers a ton of ground. Also his diving catches remind me of Torri Hunter. Give the kid a little credit. He has done a great job of improving his play and his attitude.
Hey...and there is a reason they call it the "suicide squeeze".

I just wanted to see if anyone was reading my threads, well I guess I should be honest, and admit I screwed up. "dazed" you got me again, I must have had my "head up my ass" when I said those things". I don't know what I was thinking about when I wrote that, I'll have to be more careful next time.
Maybe Anderson should be able to bunt, but for some reason no one can on the team. Ozzie says hes going to work on bunting but apparently it never works.

I think you are all insane. What possibly makes you think that Brian Anderson will be a perennial All Star? It is not Ozzie's fault that his weak hitting outfielder can't lay down a fricking bunt. I blame Ozzie for a lot of things but for goodness sakes i could put down a bunt. It is Ozzie's fault that this guy is still hanging on to a roster spot. He gets one hit in 3 years and everyone thinks he is the best. I don't know if you all have crushes on him, if he has pictures of you doing some sort of dastardly act or what. Call it like you see it and have seen it since 2005. The guy is not good. I would trade him if I could get anything for him because he will never be a star. I am sure you guys are the same ones who thought that Jeff Abbott was the next Robin Yount. If you use Anderson as more than a defensive replacement you are hurting your team.
