I hope he can play. His numbers look good, but in the back of my head I still say there is a reason he was playing DII JUCO ball as opposed to Warren and Thomas who are both NCAA DI prospects, (Thomas was highly regarded). Remember that Cordiero was the JUCO defensive player of the year in 2006 and got squeezed out by Searcy, who isn't exactly Roy Hibbert, (yet).
I hope this kid is as good as his numbers say he is becasue the pg position is the one postion I am worried about next year. I still think the freshman paul williams might have a shot at the postion as well. Warren and Thomas are not starting pg but rather good players to come off the bench in certain spots. But this signing just makes the bench have more depth and hopefully this team can make a run for march next year.
Rob is my cousin and I have been watching him play since he was eight years old. He played against Ty Lawson of North Carolina Tar Heels back in their AAU years. Ty Lawson is an average basketball player to me. Rob is a vocal leader on and off the court. He's a terrific passer, good defender, excellent ball handler, loves to penetrate to the basket, and can shoot it very well. I think Coach Gordon has got a hell of point guard on his hands who can contribute to Dayton making it to the Tourney this upcoming season.
