Would You Guys Like This???

Listening to Chris Webber's comments (he did alright) on TNT half time show I started thinking.

He was talking about the Pistons coaching situation and he said something like, the team takes on the personality of Joe D, they dont really pay Flip any attention and pretty much listen to what the assistants and Joe have to say.

So, I started thinking about this....

How would you guys like a head coach that has some history with the Pistons.  Like, a retired player.  Lamb?? Lindsey??

I would love tot see that.  It seems like Joe D likes to get involved with the team a lot in the locker room and in practices.  If they hired a head coach that has Piston roots it would be like a big family of coaches that will ALL help and coach the team.

The reason I want it to be a "family" hire is because I dont think just any head coach would want to come here and get helped out by others. 

Yup, the Pistons are not intrested in playing so I'm not intrested in them.

The team will always be based on Dumars personality because he is responsible for putting the team together. I highly doubt that Joe D is in the locker room at halftime of games or interferring with Flip running practices. That is why he has a head coach. Webber was out of line with what he said and appears to have an axe to grind with Flip. (Probably for having his playing time cut in last year's playoffs when he didn't perform.)

Dumars probably watches a lot of practices and talks with the coaches about what he sees after practice. The coaching staff should get plenty of respect from the players with two former head coaches and three former NBA players on the coaching staff. If Dumars interferred like Webber was saying the team would be a disaster. None of the players would ever listen to Flip during practice or during games.
