Not to mention that Franchis is getting zero run support lately.
This lack of run support even goes back to the 22 inning victory that has destroyed are bullpen. Corpas has not been himself since. Francis pitched 7 shutout innings, only to watch the Rockies' offense fail to put a run on the board until well in to extra innings.
That night Corpas pitched 2-innings and gave up the game tying run in his 2nd inning on the mound. Then, if I remember correctly, he ended up pitching one inning in each of the next 4 games. Unfortunately, it was these 4 games that followed the 22 - inning affair, where Corpas blew 4 consecutive save opportunities.
As much as the Rockies wanted to win those games, Corpas desperately needed a night off during that 4 game stretch. It's no wonder he ended up blowing the saves. With the awesome stuff that Corpas has, I strongly feel that he will pull out of this funk and come back strong.
Don't give up on Corpas just yet.
