I was very surprised to see both Oliver and Robertson not get drafted. A little surprised to see Guyton get picked considering some of the other OLB that did get picked up.

Congrats to Wheeler, Choice and Brooks.

Not surprised a bit.  Oliver was not invited to the NFL combine and his only workout came at the campus of Georgia Tech, so that being said not a real surprise.  Roberston was an invitee but he is a tweener not big enough to play DE at the next level and not fast enough to play the OLB position.  Roberston on the other hand will have a good opportunity to make some teams NFL roster because he is a pretty good player.  Gary Guyton was probably the most athletic player on the defensive side of the ball outside of MJ (who most potentially have being the first DE taken in the 2009 NFL draft).  I just thought I had to mention that little tid bit.  Back to Guyton he ran the fastest 40 times for linebackers at the NFL combine, he has a great frame to add weight to and he is not afraid of contact so not a big surprise.

I thought Wheeler would have gone a little higher, and you just have to believe he hurt his status returning for his senior year.  To much video on him for these so-called experts to pick threw.  He is an excellent player and I will enjoy watching him light guys up in Indy.  Choice I think went around where everyone expected him because of his lack of speed but going to Dallas is a great fit.  I always thought he drew comparisons to Emmitt Smith the Dallas great and I think Jerry Jones saw that to.  Durant Brooks what can you say he has a great leg and saved our butts on numerous occasions pinning opposing teams deep in their territory.  Congrats to all but most of all I am just happy that GT is starting produce good NFL caliber players.

nva, just read that five Jackets have signed Free Agent contracts and they include

Darrell Robertson with Cowboys
Gary Guyton with Patriots (I think he will fit right in up in Foxboro)
Mike Cox with Chiefs (I wonder if Chan had any pull here because he always said Mike Cox looked and played like an NFL caliber FB).
Nate McManus with Saints
Kevin Tuminello with Saints

This is nice to see.

Have you guys heard the audio of Jerry Jones calling Tashard Choice? It's great. Basically Jerry calls him up and tells him that he's about to draft him. Tashard's response is priceless. Jerry barely can get a word in after that.

I went to the same high school (Bradwell) as Gary Guyton, but he graduated the year before I got there. He ran a 4.4 40-yard dash, benched 350, had good size (about 6-2, 220 at the time), and had over 100 tackles and I think about 12 sacks his senior year, but for some reason he was only listed as a 2-star prospect. He's got  good size now (he weighs about 245 now), and he's got some of the best measurables of all the rookie linebackers. I think he could be a pretty solid NFL linebacker if in the right defensive system, and the Pats develop LB's like there's no tomorrow.

I also went to school with Vince Vance, one of the O-Lineman for the Georgia Bulldogs. He graduated my freshman year.
