We can still get a veteran guard who has not been signed in FA or who will be cut in the near future. I know a lot of guys will say that the Bears shouldn't get other teams scrubs and cast-offs, and I completely agree, but some players are cut from a team because of personal reasons, or maybe because of the emergence of a younger player who is currently much cheaper. I'm just saying that there's no harm in doing your homework and exploring your options.
I agree with bear-man, and the guard situation still needs to be addressed. Lest we not forget that we do have some viable trade bait, RMJ among others, who we might be able to use to pry a decent starting guard off of another team. Who knows, all I'm saying is that it's not over, and it's not like it's now become impossible for us to pick up a quality guard.
