Tell me if you agree with me or not, I think that Swain was an absolute waste of a draft pick. I understand that it was a seventh round draft and what do you expect, seriously? After we drafted Swain we have 7 receivers.
1. Donald Driver
2. Greg Jennings
3. James Jones
4. Jordy Nelson
5. Ruvell Martin
6. Koren Robinson
7. Brett Swain
Out of those listed receivers what are the odds of Brett Swain making the team ,let alone playing? Why couldn't TT gamble on an O lineman or a tight end or fullback. Someone that at least has a shot at making the team. It is stupid to take 2 receivers in the draft when you already have 5 receivers that CAN play.

You forgot Shaun Bodiford. He was on the team last year. I think TT was looking for competition on the team, but i agree it was a waste of a draft pick unless he going to turn out to be a stud... idk... i haven't ever seen him play. He could be the next Jerry Rice who knows. Anyways, I feel the same way about taking Flynn. Unless we plan on taking 4 QBs into the season, i don't see how he can make the team. I don't feel comfortable having 3 QBs on our roster who have 0 starts combined between them.

Brett Swain is probably just a practice squad member. Unless one of WRs gets hurt, he will be stuck there.

Since you have green QBs you might as well have the best competition at camp for that most critical position this yr.

I don't see Robinson and Martin being kept around.

I think I could have caught the TD where he was all by himself. I wonder what Portland State's record was? 0-12? They looked horrible.

mike, they did look horrible.. good point.. i watched Swain vs. Colorado State (a good defensive team) and Swain came up with some nice catches in traffic. What I like about Swain, is that he is a smart guy, who can get open, and find holes in zone D
