In the past year we have lost Chambers, ZT, and now Booker. If you go a few months earlier we lost Welker. Welker and LoBo were both fan favorites. I wish them the best and obviously Welker has done well, but Miami needs to stop trading away or releasing the favorite players.

Jason Taylor and Ronnie Brown are probably the last 2 left now, although you could make an argument for Porter, RW, or maybe even Satele. One way or another JT's days are limited but hopefully Brown stays in Miami for his whole career. I do not like the fact that we drafted 2 RBs, but I guess it doesn't hurt to have insurance.

I know teams have to move forward and are often better off for it, but you have to keep at least a few favorites. Green Bay is a perfect example. They were young, but they at least had Favre and Driver still there.

JT won Defensive Player of the Year in 2006 playing in a hybrid 3-4 system.  We need this guy on the team to grow and be productive more quickly.  I hope that Abraham Wright can be our pass rusher of the future, but I would like to have the best there for at least the next year, even if he does plan on retiring soon.

I have no problem trading Jason Taylor. He's on his way out of the game anyway, he wants to move on.  If he's not traded, he'll probably end up retiring and leaving us with nothing. If we trade him now, while he still has some trade value, we get some picks for the future, Jason hopefully gets a shot a ring, and everyone will be better for it.

We're not going to compete this upcoming year, maybe we'll surprise a few people but we're not going to be a serious contender. Jason will probably retire by the time we get good enough to make a run for the ring.

This is how the Patriots are winning my friends. They know when it's time to part ways with costly veterans. We need to learn from the teams who are having success.

Let's get what we can, while we can!

I have said I would like to see him retire a Dolphin.  And not like Seau will retire a Charger, but a lifelong Dolphin.  But if we get enough value for him the a trade should be done.  But to trade him for less than his worth makes no sense.  I am sure we will see JT at the top of his game this year.  Maybe he will be trade before the season starts, maybe at the trade deadline.  Again as long as we get something great in return.  As for me I would be happy to cheer for him in Miami until he retires.  He has been one of the most exciting players to watch that this team has ever had.

I say keep him if he wants to stay, trade him if he wants to go. Let him make that decision
