After changing their colors and dominating the spring season (I know - its meaningless...) the Rays have finally got themselves a new attitude.  I was thrilled with the team talent and fortitude shown during just Game 1 and 2 of this series with the Red Sox.  But to sweep?

Truly there are great pitchers on the Red Sox team.  But that fact in and of itself is a testament to the super offense of the Rays.  The youth on the Red Sox  (Ellsbury, Pedroia and Drew) are great contributors to the Red Sox offense.  But again, I am loving every defensive play by Rays youth Evan and B.J.

Rays pitching seems to be coming together, even without our ace pitcher, Kaz, and with Garza still seeking "stability."  I can't say enough about Evan Langoria - he leaves me speechless with his fielding, throwing and batting acumen.  We are so lucky to have him under contract for time - I am confident that he not only will be rookie of the year, but also in time AL MVP.

I am so inspired by the last three games - I am going outside to sweep my deck and enjoy the sun RAYS ...  with a vodka tonic in hand.

Congrats to the RAYS.
