These are my opinions and please feel free to post yours as well. Joel Q. disapointed me very badly in the first game when he decided to start an ailing Jose Theodore! Then to boost my disapointment he starts theo again!!! Now i know the redwings are an excellent team but when it comes time to play a team in the playoffs that you played 4 times in the regular season, and lost to, you have to put together a decent game plan and that wasn't the case here! As aggresive as the wings are, the av's need to stop looking for the perfect shot and shoot the damn puck on net every chance they get. How do you expect to have a chance if your not taking them!!! Budaj has the better record against the wings and showed that when he has come in the last two times for theo, he had a shut out in the first game and only let up one in the second. If Joel Q. starts theo in game three, I'M DONE ! Oh, and as for peter f. the av's played almost an entire season without him, so if they use him as an excuse as to why they look this way, BULL$@#!!!!!!! Joel Quenneville, your on the hot seat my freind!

I'm right there with you! I think Theo has lost all his confidence. Budaj did a great job against the Wings in the regular season. Coach Q needs to put him in or this will be a series sweep!
Hopefully Tony Granato will be the coach next year.

I agree Budaj needs to start Game 3, and if he plays well (and the Avs win Game 3), he should start the rest of the series.
The Avs also need to improve their discipline. They are taking too many dumb penalties.

You people are frickin stupid. Quenville is the reason were in the playoffs. All the injuries we went through, the people he had to called up from the minors, the pickups we got at the trade deadline. Look Iv been real critical of Theo this year while everyone else was in love with him, fact is though when he gets hot, hes steamin hot Theos been our guy this year and he had frickin spectacular first series. he was sick the first game and tried to make a go of it, that was the only mistake JQ made. you people dont know hockey. Im sure and I hope Peter plays the rest of the detriot series anyway, Theos not good agianst detriot anyway I dont know what it is we've seen that the last couple years.
So you knock Quenville, your knockin yourself cause your just stupid.

It makes sportsfan09 a smart man. Why do you call people stupid for having their opinions? Shoot man you criticized me for saying the injuries have caught up to the AVS.
When it's all there. Granted the AVS with less players, but I don't wanna see them with no Sakic, no Smyth,
As far as coaching .... you can blame it. It's been a let down.
All the pickups at the end of the year were NOT cause of JQ. Don't give him props for that.
No pep in their step in round 2, motivation or the lack of, and discipline or lack of....
blame him for that.
I was criticized for hating on him at the beginning of the season.
I'm entitled to my opinion, as well as you are.

Everyone has their opinion yes, I guess some peoples are just way out there! As somone who played hockey through juniors, and has been through and seen injuries how could you JQ was a let down. Pretty much all of our star players were injured this season and not just for a few games lots. Just becuse alot of them are playin now doesnt there 100%, and we still made the playoffs and dont tell me its cuase of Theo thats bull. Its truly a mystery how you people are critizing JQ.
I would have loved to see what this team was capable of with just a little break with the injuries.

listen "sniper svatos" Granato was already the coach and that was a failed experiment. he's just fine being an assistant. now about the Quenville chopping block. the only thing i don't like about him is his special teams philosophy. our PK has been average at best in his tenure here. ive said it before, you cant let the other team have the puck all day, you have to pressure them into bad decisions. our PP is whatever. its been the same forever it just didnt go in that much this year. hold the puck for as long as you can then try to pass it through the crease because no one will see that coming. lets not take one-timers, we want the goalie to have time to move side to side. whatever you do, dont shoot it wide on purpose and tip it on net, our shot won't get blocked if you do that. oh and when we have a 5 on 3, remember our 2 shot limit.

i will be critical of jq! if a head coach does something that is going to hurt the team then you should be critical for starting a sick goal teneder and not giving your team the best starting chance you can!!! and as for the injuries.....so what! like the Avalanche were the only team to have injuries. those young guys stepped it up when they were supposed to and did a great job! so quit bringing up the injury bit.....it's old!!! i didn't start complaining because the av's dropped the first two, it's how they dropped the first two!!!! detroit is just banking 100% on the av's not changing their style so they can beat the crap out of them! this IS the playoffs, you have to change it up or your in trouble.

(maybe I miss read something.... BUT oh well)
You can't really see what goes on behind closed doors in the AVS locker room, you can only assume. I guess we're assuming also. That someone isn't getting the team ready, not changing to the bead of the Wings drum, and so on.
I seriously think the injuries have caught up to them. They gave it 100% to try to make the playoffs, they did it. And now someone has to get the team ready for the next hurdle.
I think it falls on the coach.
Never the less I think this series is NOT over yet (obviously) BUT something needs to give.
IDEAS ANYONE ??
