Well, the first and second rounds are in the books and...

The entire WAC conference has had only ONE player taken, Boise State's OT Ryan Clady was taken by Denver in the first round.

As a frame of reference perhaps; USC (the Trojans) had SEVEN players taken. One school as compared to an entire conference.

Is anyone else surprised...by either? While I'm dissapointed for the WAC's recruiting appeal; I'm only really suprised by the incredible USC results.

No surprise here.

Don't expect any Hawaii players to be taken before the 6th round tomorrow...it's possible that Colt won't even be taken at all because of his injury.  Rivers should be the first one taken, then Bess and Grice Mullen.  I'll be ecstatic if Colt is taken by round 6, but I'm hoping at least free agent.

Well well well i guess i was right, its now th forth round and he still has not been taken. I told you all he wasn't that good. You can use the excuss he was injured, but i told you this was going to happen months ago. I told you he really wasn't that good, and he never proved himself with those 5 and 10 yard routes.

You all had a good season playing creampuffs and you see where that gets you. Your counter part boise st isn't doing any better. Its like i said before, you all just think your good, if you don't believe me ask georgia Lmao.

Oh my fav Okie;
To which "HE" were you referring?
Your reference about Boise St not doing better...than what; a round one pick is pretty cool for Boise St; there were over 100 other schools who did NOT have a round one pick taken?
Once again; your contribution is another eloquent expression of mental precision.
Glad for you though, MS2U, feeling all "my a$$ fell off"!

never been much of a redskins fan, but jim zorn's always been one of my all-time favorite QBs, so i'm liking the pick.

surprising to see jaws so down on colt, equally surprising to see kiper so bullish on him.

can't wait to see who lands where as FA signings.

Jim Zorn played for Seattle.....  oddly, I've always associated Colt with Zorn.....  maybe your reference is to the fact that he's on the staff.....

I think most of us expected back in September that Colt would go in the 5th-7th round...it was good to see him get drafted.   Despite all the idiots who swore he would go in the 1st or 2nd round, and those who insisted that he was throwing to an "NFL wide receiving corp"....   Those wide receivers are not NFL caliber....  and that actually will benefit Colt, who will now be throwing to better WR's.....

Like I've always said, we all know he can throw the ball....  now comes the test of his durability and his maturity, both of which were in a sadly poor state at the Sugar Bowl.....  With June Jones out of the picture, and with the shoddy WAC defenses out of the picture - it comes down to what this guy really brings to the table.....  the Redskins have die-hard fans and he will get alot of support if he's good.....  and they will run him outta town if he's not.....  just ask Gus Fer-rotton.....

Let it be put to rest the the UH team of 2006 was ALOT better than the team of 2007.... I think the NFL draft results are the icing on the cake.....  someone get a knife and let's cut this baby......

WOW!!!!!  I was not paying attention to the USC players.  But i am surprised so many players were taken by one university.

I agree with you.  I feel that the WAC is represented by the talent so little in relation to other big university.  Only one what about the UH guys did any one get drafted? i didn't see or hear any one get drafted by any team.

Snake, USC is a Dyno for turning out NFL players.   It is nice to see all the Trojans doing well.

letsgobows, you were the one that got the 6th round pick for Colt Brennan right, many teams passed on him, it was good to see him drafted.  He has to prove himself on a new level and it will not be easy, he has his shot.

I was surprised that Kevin Smith was not taken until the 3rd round, I had him as the 2nd best back and a big game breaker.   The scouts' ratings and  the team's selections are often puzzling when they leave talent out there for that long.
It is like washing your diamond bracelet and earings then leaving them out on the clothesline all day to dry.

yeah, Jim Zorn's the new head coach of the redskins, and in all likelihood, had significant input into the selection.  of course, you never know, daniel snyder could run his drafts like jerry jones or al davis.

I think the UCF bowl game really hurt Kevin Smith's stock. He also didn't have a great combine (4.58 40). That being said ESPN had projected as a late 3rd early 4th round pick so he actually did better than projected.

Ooner like always you are an idiot you say

I told you he really wasn't that good, and he never proved himself with those 5 and 10 yard routes.

which is an asinine statement.  Of course Colt has proved himself at the Combine and Pro day.  Get your head out of your okole and go crawl back into your beer bottle this will make our day and make your mother happy for Mother's Day too!

What on Earth were you watching when you came to this moronic conclusion above?

All you do is repeat the same dribble like 'creampuff and creampuff schedule.'  Have you not one shred of an original idea?

I see you still like to harp on last season Mrs Sooner.  Yes we had a good season last year and if I remember correctly it got us the same thing it got your ALMIGHTY SOONERS, a nationally televised ass whupping in a BCS game.  For as good as you think your Sooners are shouldn't they have had like 5 players taken in the first round?  Looks to me that you had ZERO.  And wait is that a top 15 pick for Boise State?  I guess that's another one they got over on your Sooners.  You really should let the bitterness go from the Fiesta bowl loss to Boise.  It really just makes you look like a fool.
