Dodgers vs. Rockies thread 4-26

After a long game last night.  We need Penny to go longer than 6 innings tonight.  He has a huge lead and should be able to throw a lot more strikes and keep the pitch count down.  Dewitt got a bleeder to fall for 2 rbi's in his first ab back from his call up to replace Nomar.

Juan Pierre ......2 ab's ...1 hit...1 hbp...2 stolen bases....2 runs scored....all in the first inning!!!!!....10 runs score!!!!.....la up 10 -2 on Rockies!!......now, i would say juan is somewhat of a catalyst for a huge inning,...hhmmmmmm.....?????......btw...juan has 10 rbi's ...eithier has 12...and juan has played only 15% of the time as either........

Just to add to the first inning explosion.  Matt Kemp hit his first carrer grand slam on a first pitch breaking ball.  Nice to see him hit a bender out.  Penny had a 1,2,3 2nd inning.  Kemp had 5 rbi's first inning that more than Andruw the whole season.

Braves traded drew cuz he's overweight and cant swing the bat anymore....pierre should be startin in center, and that would add more production for the Dodgers!....

HatetheOrange all you want but if you're going to try and sell that "Juan Pierre is a catalyst" crap on this board, get your facts straight.  Andre Ethier has 78 ABs and JP has 48.  It doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure out that doesn't equate to 15% of the playing time.  Also, JP has 8 RBIs not 10.  Ethier has 13 RBI.  Ethier also has 14 runs scored to JP's 3, not to mention he's hitting .321 to JP's .271.  Couple this with the fact that JP has the throwing arm of a 9 year old school girl and Ethier is a solid + outfielder defensively and you can put that catalyst in your pipe and smoke it.
