So what are people's thoughts about WVU this coming year? They have a new head coach, a new OC but the same DC.
Stewart is 8-25 as a head coach (true that came at VMI, but still) and their OC is from Wake Forest.
Will they repeat their dominance or will they flop and flounder around all year?

I don't know if I would go as far as to say they will be dominant. They will definately be our toughest OOC game, and they will win the Big East. They will still have a very potent offense, and they will put up a ton of points this year.

Don't forget that Paul Rhodes, DC, just put the smack down on WV in his last game at Pitt. He's familiar with their players and their offense.

I am really looking forward to traveling up to WV for this game. It should be a marquis match up. Great game environment with a Thursday night all to ourselves. There's a lot of offense in this game, but this is still Auburn, its all about the defense.

NLAuburn,
Totally different offense this year. Same great players, just less bubble screens, some I formation, a lot more of Pat White throwing the ball...oh yeah, have you guys heard of a kid named Devine? Tell your DBs to look behind them...he's the kid who wears #7 and is handing the ball to the refs...
Your avatar is something to behold...
See ya in Mo-town!!!!

I have watched WV's team, but I really don't think our DB's will have to turn around to find WV's play makers. With guys like Trey Blackman, Marks, Coleman, McNeil, Ethridge, Powers, and Savage, Auburn has one of the fastest defenses in the country who specializes in shutting down the spread.
This will be an awesome game, but Auburns defense have become consistent winners (mostly out of necessity) don't look to hang a whole lot of points on Auburn this year, this is a defense with some swagger.

Yeah, I've heard of your boy Devine!
Do me a favor though, go look and see how many yards Darren McFadden had against Auburn's defense last year. Even the best RB's in the nation can't do squat on our front seven. And we do have pretty much the same D as last year, so yeah I can talk about the past. Tell you what...I'll spot your boy Noel 50 yards before the game so that you can come tell me he rushed for a hundred!
See ya in Mo-town!

NLA...Surely you are joking. Some comments are merely a little extra bravato, but that was down right stupid. You dont think Devine will get 50 yards? I wouldnt be surprise if he got that much on one play. As a matter of fact, I would venture to guess that there is a better chance of him having a 50 yard run rather than him not getting 50 yards total. Come on NLAburn, some of your posts were making some sense but that was down right dumb...
You guys held McFadden down pretty good but Felix Jones ripped you for 7 yards a carry. Knowshawn got ya for 5 yds a carry. Didnt Miss St beat you guys? The same team we smoked in Starkville....
Maybe you just need to let your avatar do the talking for you. I bet you both of the those girls know about as much about college football as you do...

Oh me, oh my......... Is it possible that a big east fan dares to speak to an SEC fan with anything less than the utmost respect? I love it! This is what makes a great game. That said i must agree with my fellow tiger fans. We will not be hurt by Noel ( not good enough for florida, fsu or miami) Devine. A sick back that he is I really have some trouble thinking he will go for more than 100 against us. And if he does its on 30 or more carries and you will not beat auburn running the ball 30 times. I actualy feel sorry for the kid if he does get that many totes. you guys may want to have him for the rest of that tough big east schedule! Good luck little man, you are gonna need it!

Ohoolahan,
Now this is what I came here for. I just love to make you SEC boys look silly.
First of all lets agree on some things...
1. WVU is a rushing football team as we were the #3 ranked rushing team in the country at 297 ypg.
2. Auburn was ranked #6 in overall defense. That is good, but look who was right behind you...ahh yeah good old Blue and Gold. WVU #7(we will take that, we dont consider ourselves a defensive team, although we were pretty good last year)
3. Auburn had the #29 ranked rush defense in the country.(We were #18 by the way).
4. WVU played against 2 teams that were ranked higher in rush defense than Auburn. Cincinatti was ranked #19 and we drop 280 yds on them. Oklahoma was ranked #17 and ran for 347 against them(the most ever allowed by an Oklahoma team for a bowl).
So I am confused as to why a lot of Auburn fans simply assume that they will be able to stop us just because their defense "are winners"????
And please come back at me with more than just our "easy schedule that we played"...I realize Aburn posters dont have a lot to hang their hat on these days other than their schedule, but you guys have to become a little more creative. You can even start lying if you wanted to, that would at least be more interesting.
