Avalanche vs. Redwings!

Wow. I don't see why you guys don't give up on theodore and put budaj in? i mean seriously. 40 shots in 2 games and only 1 went in.

Franzen is simply a beast. Well now we go to colorado to face the av's at home. If the wings won't sweep the 2 games there, they'll for sure take one. i just don't see the av's coming back on this one.

and ok, fillpullas hit on foote should have been a call but you can't blame any of your losses this season on the refs. What the wings are 6-0 against the avs including regular season?

So what about second period? How about third? we didn't get any calls.

The Avs need to do a few things to in order to get back into the series:

1. Start Budaj. Theodore has lost his focus and its showing. Budaj has been solid in both games as Theodore's replacement. Hopefully a start in Game 3, on home ice none the less, will improve our chances.

2. Discipline. Frankly, the we've have been playing sloppy. Yes the refs missed a few calls in Game 2, but that doesn't explain the other senseless, hot headed penalties that the we took in the 2nd period.

3. Defense. We need to improve it. Detriot in penetrating too easily, and our defenders are making dumb decisions in the neutral zone that are leading to 2-on-1 and 3-on-1 Red Wing attacks.

wow, and OJ got away with murder, then we moved on. Agreed, it was a bad missed call, and im thankful he wasn't hurt. But the reason the penalties were so lop sided is because your AVs took dumb penalties in frustration.. thats what changed momentum of the game. it all evens out, you get some calls, you get some non-calls.

But why blame it on theodore, the  hot goalie who has the "flu"?,Why blame it on stupid penalties the AVs took?(breaking your own stick cause you slash someone so hard), and  Why blame it on Denver's favorite  washed up swede, who didnt play cause of a pulled groin? when you can blame it on something that isn't in your teams control. If the Avs truly want to win, they will have to play better hockey.

OMG are the Avs fans really going to blame a 4 goal loss on one non-call? That's almost as pathetic as Colorado's defence (almost). Rather than get all whinney and calling out the refs, they could have used that as fuel for a rally, and come out swinging. instead they just sat back and cried as we scored more goals.

Here's a tip for the Avs: If you want to have a chance to make a series out of this, try putting the puck on net a little, and quit taking stupid penalties out of frustration. The Red Wings are too good on special teams to be sitting in the penalty box. Oh and you can call out Babcock all you want for pulling Hasek for Osgood. We've only gone 4-0 since he made that call.

Seriously... Regular season: Swept Series of 4 games. Including 3 shut outs.

Postseason: So far 3-0. The odds or good. It just shows that it can't be just refs. Lets sweep another av's series today!!
