How much longer do you think we will have to hear from the whining Wild fans?  I myself, would like to think that they have moved on with their lives by now.

I voted for the end of the Avs run.  Whether it be the next round or my personal belief, after the Avs win the Stanley Cup, I believe that the Wild fans will stop whining on our boards within a week or so after the last game the Avs play in this post season.

By creating this poll, I imagine that we are going to hear more of the whining Wild fans.

Unfortunately, their are some awesome Wild fans that realize that the Avs did not win this series because of poor officiating, but because of great offensive play and absolutely amazing goal tending, with the assistance of the great defense.

When you turn a light on, the moths will follow. There are a few great Wild fans, WarpedMind, Wildfan4life, se7en, & Ramius7. After that, not much else but whiny little trolls. I'm writing about you Hamsalad.

But the refs royally hooooooosed the Wild, and your goalie's pads were too biiiiiiiig, and the Pepsi Center ice was too sooooofffft.  Heck, I bet the Vegas mobstas were in on the Kihnspiracy, too.  The league totally needs to investigate this, and that's not just a Minnesota white wine (that title is reserved for "weeee wanna spearfish tooOOOooo.")

Seriously, tho, best of luck to the Avalanche, and thanx for the props, vikings68!!  Thanx also to the dude who dug up Claude Lemieux's jersey number so I can letter my Avs jersey accordingly.

I voted until the end of the Avs run, although it will pop up again every time we play the Wild in the playoffs and beat them.

I've talked with a few decent Wild fans too, but most of them, at least on CBSsports.com have taken the whining to a whole other level.  I always thought people from Minnesota were pretty levelheaded, but I guess when you add hockey to the mix all rationale and levelheadedness go out the window.

I think any series will bring out a certain number of whiners from the team on the short end of the stick, but what really confused me was the Forsberg bashing.   This guy gets absolutely mauled any time he is on theice and it only gets worse when he controls the puck for any length of time.  Nevertheless, he finds ways to create scoring chances on almost every shift despite being mugged, and jealous fans decide to call him a diver.

I realize that not all Wild fans share the thoughts of the overly vocal whiners, but the crowds at the X seemed much more interested in big hits and fights along with the standard manhandling of Foppa whenever he was on the ice than real attempts to win games.  I assumed that the knowledgable Wild fans would be more interested in finding ways to get the puck past Theodore and forget about looking for the death blow every time the Avs had puck possession.

By the way, how does Lemaire think that the Wild would be the better 5 on 5 team during the series?   They were a combined minus 10 during the regular season while the Avs finished the regular seaon with a plus 73.  The series ended with the Avs winning the plus/minus battle plus 8 to minus 10.

The Wild should be glad they can get on the golf courses before the mosquitos get large enough to carry them away.

I think Gumby said it best, the team that gets the shaft will be the one whining. As goes for Wild fans, there have been Av's fans whining about deflections and luck and all of Forsberg crap, but not nearly in as much of a surplus as us Wild fans. I won't deny my partaking in a few cheap shots, but I can say for myself that my box of whine is all gone. (<--- thats to go with all the other clever play on words you Av's fan seem to be particularly fond of:) Ive moved on with my life, and am just really looking forward to what happens with our team in the off-season. As for the Wild fans, I can specifically recall in game 2, a defenders stick went flying into the crowd, and it entranced a majority of X, all the while Forsberg walks into our zone and gets a very pretty goal. That sums up some of the fans at the X(Yes I do realize I would be busy myself had there been an eminent thrashing by a hockey stick flying in my general direction). Im sure it will still be a sore spot for me, but you guys did owe us for '03. Best of luck in your (hopefully) Wings/ (possibly) Flames series!

Just a quick note if you watch the replay AVS defenseman Jeff Finger's stick was flipped out of his hands and into the crowd by a Minnesota player but no call.  I wonder how that would have been called as a penalty.  It seems like it should be a penalty but I'm not sure it is.  I know a player can't use their hands to throw a stick out of the ice area but in this case I think it was Boogard and he used his stick.  Well, I've gone off subject but are there any referees out there who can answer that question for me, lol.  Thanks.

GO AVS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I don't think it was intentional, and maybe there was a delayed penalty, but since Forsberg scored almost instantly afterward, it would have been negated. I really dont think it would have been called, but then again I'm no ref:)
