With Rich Rod leaving WVU and Ray Rice from Rutgers, the Big East race is wide open.  I think we could make it back to the Gator Bowl or whatever our third place bowl is.  Texas Bowl? Sun Bowl?  Meineke Car Care Bowl?

We have the most optimistic fans I've ever seen. I voted "National Championships" in a hope/joke kind of way, but to my surprise, I was joined by 20 other people.

From what I have heard about observations of our practices  as compared to the Petrino era, as a program we simply aren't run as efficiently.  Practices under Petrino involved the entire team with no one sitting around, everyone constantly involved in drills.  Under Kragthorpe there is a lot more standing around.  I don't know, I've never observed a practice.  But during last  season we were obviously lacking some of the cohesion we had in the past.  I don't know if Krag's system is capable of making us a national contender again.

Rumor has it last year alot of the players did not like the new coach to much.  I think now that we have English things will change some.  With an CAKE schedule I think we should be bowl bound again, just not BCS bound.

I agree there were a lot of players last year who just did not take to Coach K. English HAS to help out on defense. I think the number of coaching and player defections from last year show just how many internal problems there were. We will lack depth this year, but hopefully we won't lack INTENSITY again. Picking up a lot of players to throw at the problems won't hurt as we have scholarships available. Jucos rotate in and out quick to open scholarships faster. I think Urritia leaving is a good indication of coach/player relations last year. He may be 6'5", but he developed stone hands last year and dropped way too many passes to impress NFL teams. I think he left for the same reasons that DC is leaving the basketball team. Coaches want to coach players who want to improve, not babysit whiners who underachieve and cause problems. Same with Stripling. I liked his speed, but he also developed hands of stone. If these guys couldn't hold onto the balls Brohm delivered, how are they gonna catch the bullets Cantwell throws. He's got no questions about arm strength.

Thanks,
