When Petrino came in and saw how many players he was going to be losing, and saw the lack of depth at several positions. He stated that the depth chart was going to be cleared, and that nobody was guaranteed to start for the Hogs this fall.
He said he didn't care if the guy was All-SEC or an All-American last year, this is a new system and a new team. What you did in the past no longer matters. A very strong statement I feel, and I like the decision.
Something I am thrilled about is that they are actually tackling this spring!!! I feel that was a big let down in the fall last year, we had too many fumbles to start the year, guys just weren't use to getting popped in the mouth.
Petrino has stated that Casey Dick is his starting QB as of now...remember Tyler Wilson and Jim Youngblood aren't on campus yet. He has stated that DJ Williams (TE) will have a huge impact on this team, he even compared DJ to Falcons Tight End Alge Crumpler!
I expect Joe Adams to come in and make a difference, other than that not sure.
