I'm an O's fan, so I guess I didn't see what others saw, but this sorta came as a shock to me.  They just simply let him go.  But, I was wondering, were they doing this to put Matt Stairs in the DH role and make some room for Adam Lind?  I dont know how Lind is doing right now, so I thought maybe that could have been a part of the reasoning.

I say bring in Bonds to DH. How crazy would that be. At the worst it would just boost ticket sales

I was thinking the same thing; we just freed up the DH spot, why not bring in Barry. I know I'd buy a Jays jersey with his name on it. He couldn't give us any less production than what we were getting from Frank.

Lind right now is suffering from a stiff neck, heh heh, but has ben playing well for the Cuse.  It looks like the temporary plan is to put Lind into the lineup at LF and platoon stairs and stewart at dh.  But WTF?!?! Cut Thomas for his slow start?!?!?!

Bonds to the Jays? Are you people out of your mind? I think the Jays are mildly retarded for cutting Thomas....as evidence of them going 1-5 since he has been released. Bonds will not help this train wreck of a team. If Gibbons couldn't get along with Thomas how is he supposed to get along with Bonds? So much for the chemistry improving after Thomas was cut.... he's going to CRUSH the Jays when Oakland plays them. What a stupid, silly, cheap move. Have fun with Stairs-and finishing below the Rays in the standings!
