Many American boxing fans are ashamed of the ridiculous conduct displayed by so many of our boxers. I long for the days of gentlemen athletes that represented the sport so well. Jerry Quarry, Floyd patterson,Sugar Ray, and many others possessed warrior spirit as well as class . Thugs like Tyson,Hopkins and others may well be great fighters but they are deffinetely not great role models or representatives of our sport or our country. Sad to say, the fighters from Europe generally display more class than many of our home-grown pugilists. Hopkins racist comments were disgraceful.
