Congratulations Knicks fans, the Zeke is gone!! Now what? Who you going after? who do you want? Being a Bulls fan the one team I dislike beside Detroit is the Knicks but I have to admit I like it when the Knicks matter. Rumor has it Mark Jackson is the man in the the lead. Do you want a young inexperienced coach like him, a guy with Knicks in his blood? Or a cagey veteran like a recycled Mike Fratello, Lenny Wilkens, Doug Collins type(not necessarily them but you know the type) . Whoever it is I hope you get your guy and then get rid of Marbury. Hopefully the Bulls follow and get someone that the players respect and hopefully our rivalry can get to where it once was. That being said. Knicks suck! Bulls rule : )

Thank God, I am a Celtics fan and it was killing me to see the fans of New York Knicks take a beating the last 3 years. Thomas never had any direction for this team and soon lost control after the harassment suit. I hope to never see Thomas ever coach another team again Pro or College. I am sure he will end up on ESPN isn't that where all ex- NBA end up anyway? Now that the new team president has cut out his cancer now he needs a coach who will bring back a team whose time has been long missed from the playoffs on a consistant basis. Good Luck New York and Thank you for plucking out your sore eye.

lol...yeah, the Bulls are really tearing it up right now. They're a whole 10 games better than the Knicks. For all the draft picks we gift wrapped to you, not to mention the lame players we got from you via trade (Curry and to a lesser extent, Crawford come to mind), Paxson has done almost as pathetic a job as Isiah!
You guys have nothing to show for Wallace, who was a complete bust. You have no coach to speak of. You blew the '06 draft, swapping picks with Portland for some guy named Khryapa (who you just waived, because he bl*ws) when you could have had Aldridge, who is light years better than Thomas. Not to mention Roy, who was taken a little further down in the same draft, is looking pretty good compared to Hinrich, especially when you consider Kirk was riding the pine midseason 'cause he was playing like garbage. Oh, remind me who the Bulls got for Chandler again? BTW, the guy is now a double-double machine for the Hornets.
I like the fact that you like it that the Knicks matter....Chicago has a couple decent young players. But the fact is, your team hasn't mattered for a long time....not since MJ.

we as Knicks fans need to learn a few things...
1.dolan is as much at fault as anybody...what owner wouldn't have settled out of court to defer public embarrassment for his franchise?i just think he was real dumb on that front.
2.we have some real over hyped players that people seem to think are great for example you don't build a team around David Lee and Nate Robinson cause they are both role players now don't get me wrong i knoe lee works extremely hard and he is capable of puttin together a double-double on a nightly basis but his game is extremely limited on the offensive end and defensively he can't guard the sf's and he's not strong enough for the power forwards so it's a tough call but i do like him as a 6th man he hustles his butt off...
3.if you love the knicks then you know it ain't all on zeke he was just another in a long line of screwups....

Damians, I can't word what you said better. All Knicks fans who blame this whole thing on Isiah have not been following them.
Isiah is a part of the puzzle but not the whole puzzle.
When you have players like marbury, randolph, and curry people who only care about their stats, then you don't have a recipe for success. Ever since Marbury has proclaimed himself as "Starbury" he has stunk.

I agree totally, but Isiah has the largest blame b/c he put together this roster of selfish scrubs who only care about their own stats. It is about time he was fired b/c he was a horrible GM who acquired this roster, and could not coach them. A good coach can coach would have at least been able to discipline them. Now, Walsh has to do his best to remove the cancers from this team in Babybury, Eddy "Slow, Fat, Lazy, Heartless" Curry, Jerome "I Can't Stay Healthy and in Shape" James, and the rest of the selfish players who cannot play D and don't play hard every game. Then, he must bring in a good coach like Skiles who would be tough on this team since we were the least disciplined team and we need to grow toughness and we need to draft Rose, Beasley, or any good defensive big man.

I was only saying Im happy to see you guys are going in the right direction and I hope the Bulls follow. The Bulls suck just as bad as the Knicks do. Crappy GM, no Coach and overrated players! Sound familar?
As far as my team not mattering for a long time, ok Ill agree with you there but then where do the Knicks stand as far as how long ago they mattered? Your team hasnt mattered for a long long time...not since Willis Reed.

How long ago did the Knicks matter? The year your team was totally exposed as a bunch of nobodies without MJ, 98-99. The Knicks were in the finals....where was Chicago?

1st- Knicks suck Bulls rule was a joke! In my post post I said I hope both teams can get their s%*t together and start playing the way they did when their rivalry meant something.
2nd- yeah I was at MSG for the Gators/Umass NIT game and I looked up to the rafters and I dont recall seeing a championship banner hanging for that year. Its kind of funny that your bragging about 98-99. Wasnt that the strike year when only 50 games were played? How did you make out in the finals? Oh yeah San Antonio took you to school in 5 games. When was your last title? Mecca of basketball, maybe back in the 70s!
Come on Knicks73 you got anything better than boasting about 1998-1999, a year they didnt even win? Because if you want to keep talking about the past the Bulls have 6 championships we could talk about. We can talk about Starks and his free throws, Charles Smith and his weak inside game, Ewing choking on a short runner against the Pacers. Al those years of "this is the year!"
My original post was congratulating you and other Knick fans and hoping they could bring respectable basketball back to NY and make NY matter again. Chicagos problems are a totally different story.
