dc you are really disappointing me here.  So you are saying that all football prior to the Super Bowl era should be put in a vault somewhere and forgotten about forever because it happened before Dallas had football.  That's just being narrow sighted.  This has nothing to do with who won what.  I'm just saying that football has a deeper history than just the Super Bowl era.  The Super Bowl era is only a little bit less than HALF of all Pro Football history.  Just because the earlier part doesn't involve the Cowboys doesn't mean that we don't have to forget it.  And for the record, this has nothing to do with counting Championships, it has to do with roots.

P.S~ yes I get your point about the number of teams in the league being much lower in 1948 (10 teams) than it is now, but remember, you have to crawl before you can walk.  Maybe the league wasn't as diluted back then as it is now.  Just a theory!  Lol.....

I'm by no means saying forget the NFL before the Super Bowl; The NBA championship has been the same thru-out NBA history MLB has always had the World Series thru-out there history same thing with with NHL; but hard for me to say you a legit champion when there is only 6 teams.
