okay, im cooled down now. i truly hope he can bounce back. The closer is arguably the most important part of the bullpen, and without a good closer, we won't be that good. Let's look on the bright side.. it's early in the season and Valverde has plenty of time to bounce back, but i'll be honest, i currently don't have a lick of faith in him. this is almost the exact same way i felt about Lidge early last year, but i didn't have the heart to "hate" him or however to say it. He bounced back though and hopefully Valverde will do the same.

Ya LSU youll get no arguement from Astros fans, Valverde has not had an outing without a base runner, he has blown 2 three run leads, his only save he converted he gave up a HR to the Cubs. All those stupid emotions he does on the mound are fine if you are closing games but you look like a fool when you blow 3 run leads.

Qualls sure is looking greeat in Arizona....oh what couldve been.
