Yep, living in San Diego is sweet. Got our Big City problems too tho. Houses are about the third most expensive in the continental US. Gas here is second highest. You pay to live here. I was born & raised here. Moved away a couple of times (career) and as soon as I did, I worked real hard to figure out a way to move back.

It's wonderful that my Pads have Greg Maddux, Jake Peavy and Trevor Hoffman. As a fan going back to the old Pacific Coast league Pads it is a plesant time to be a baseball fan here. We've had a lot of years that weren't so much fun. Pitching coach for the Pads still has to help the younger guys figure things out, and Chris Young is struggling right now, so he does have a coule headaches...Just not migrane ones.

Its the same with me as it is for the people that wrote before me above. I was born and raised in so cal and I love California but you really have to pay to live there. I'm currenlty living in Denver (which I'm lucky that my bolts and dads are in the same division as the donkeys and crockies) but I miss the coast bad, not to mention my fellow fans! I'm out here for my career and saving up as much as I can to be back in San Diego.

In regards to our team though, there's absolutely nothing to complain about. Yeah, people may have their things to say about Hoffman but I grew up watching that guy. I can remember going back to the early/mid 90's watching him come in to close the games and the Murph. Those are really some of my first memories of baseball as a kid. HELLS BELLS!

Maddux is the man, thick and through. I love how when I watch the Pads on my Baseball Extra Innings package (and its usually on the other teams channel) all they can talk about is him throughout the game when he's the starter. He's a really nice guy to, I ran into him after opening day this year and he was conversational and exceptionaly nice. I'm proud to say he's on my team.

The pitching coach for any team that Gregory Alan Maddux plays for is by far the easiest job in baseball.  No one, absolutely no one, knows more about pitching than Maddog.  It's why although he can't throw harder than 83-84 he can still get big leaguers out, and more importantly, why he continues to rack up the W's.  His unprecedented streak of 20 straight bleepin' years of winning 13 games or more will never be broken.  Just to put that in perspective, Jake Peavy is a heck of a pitcher but his current streak of 13 wins or more is at 1 and AJ Burnett got a huge contract a couple of years ago.  How many years has this stud Burnett won 13 games or more at age 31.............ZERO!!!!
