How much "justice" can Jarrett afford?

I had almost the identical situation happen with me, except I blew a .10 which at the time was legal in 36 states, except for the one I was caught in, where the limit was .08 (that's a beer and a half in an hour)  I was driving a drunk friend home, trying to do the right thing.  He was terribly messed up, so I quit drinking so I could take him home.  I "crossed the center line"...on a 4 lane highway and the state police pulled me over.  Passed the sobriety tests and blew a .08 at the scene, but that was enough to take me in, and impound my car.  This was my first, and my only offense...EVER!

I aked my lawyer, who was a good one that I paid dearly for, about what I could possibly do, challenge the test since it was so close, or something, and she told me that if I plead not guilty that I would definitely have to do jail time if found guilty.  So I  plead guilty, paid a huge fine, had my license suspended for a year, had to go to counseling and had 30 days suspended.

This pampered fellow will pay his lawyer to drag this thing out and at most will end up doing a couple of appearances at middle schools to tell kids not to drink and drive or have the charge reduced to a moving violation. Getting a DWI doesn't make you a hardened criminal, but the arbitrary nature of the punishments in absurd, and I have seen very few pro-athletes get anywhere near the treatment I got for much worse circumstances.
