Roswell Ed ,Thank you for stating the obvious., although it doesn't seem like the NFL, and sports networks in general understand the obvious. People do not want arrogant A#$%% announcing or commentating. I equivocate it to the Britney Spears fiasco. Does anyone actually like her music? Is there someone out there who claims to be the first "Britney-phile'-finding her in her early years and raving to all of their freinds about how great this chick is , and how you've simply got to hear her. NO! It's because they found someone that could sort of hold the job together (with Britney it is by continuing to wear little clothing and showing up for "personal appearances" contrived by her Record label). With most of these sport "journalists" that you have listed I feel personally that they were the guys that knew enough about sports and then perhaps received a degree, but then decided that they were more interesting than the sports that they were covering.
I too am tired of Gumble. I have never had the NFL network and I do not want it. I am a 35 year old die hard Steelers fan. I will sit and watch the computer update rather than listen to Gumbel. As for the others? Rome, sick of it I'm over it dude. I am not a Clone. Bayless? Does his Mom even like this guy? His head will explode someday. On Steven A.-It's not a political office ,TRACY MORGAN, get your own thing, It's been done. The others I am not as familiar with because I have either given up on certain radio shows or it is nt in my market. But I am safe to assume that if it does not follow mainly sports in all of its guts and color. I do not care anymore. Oh, Stuart Scott is O.K. but that's mainly the problem.-E.K.
