Who ya got?

Winners of 5 straight,
or
Winners of all 6 of their games?

Remember, The Voodoo played in Dallas last year and only lost by one.

The Voodoo's defense picked it back up again this week against San Jose.  The defense has only allowed 285 points and the Desperados have only allowed 255.  But on the offensive side, the Voodoo has scored 361 points and the Desperados have scored 298.

The three teams that both the Voodoo and Desperados have played (Colorado, Cleveland and San Jose) the Voodoo outscored their opponent by an average of 24 points.  The Desperados won by a average of 7 points.

Even though Dallas is undefeated, I think the Voodoo are the better team.  That's if the defense can keep playing like it has been.   I'll admit that I was looking forward to a battle of unbeatens when the Desperados and Soul played in a couple weeks, but not at the expense of the Voodoo.

Home field advantage could be a factor, but I think the Voodoo can beat the Desperados.  I think it will be another close one like it was in Colorado.

Voodoo win 56 -51

You have to remember that Clint Dolezel, one of the best arena league quarterbacks, injured his shoulder in week 1 and just came back last week. The offense was averaging far less points without him, but the defense has been stout the past 3 years and stepped up without him. Should be a heck of a game, but I'll take the team that has lost 3 regular season games the past 2 years!

The Deperados started it off and got a good lead.  The Voodoo eventually took the lead and the lead changed a couple times.  In the 3rd quarter, the Voodoo were up by 3 points.  I left to get a hotdog and when I got back, they were down by 11 and they never got the lead again.  Oh well.

Good game.  I had a good time.
