Thanks for the update speedblue on Phantom. He is missed, and I will continue to pray for his recovery.

So glad you found your way here. We are friends from the kitchen, as you well know. This is a wonderful place with great people.

Not really a room for sports and certainly not a place that seeks conflict. This is a place to come for comfort and friendship. Anyone is welcome, but you will find that the majority of people that post here on a regular basis are Christians that found each other through the sports boards.

Come once in a while, come often. Feel free to bring your troubles (yours or your friends) and ask for prayer requests.

I have met some life long friends through this thread.

My Friends, the operation was a success and improvements have already been noted. I have over 30 staples viable over 3 incisions so it was a major surgery. I thank you all for your prayers and will appreciate them as I make my way through the recovery process. I am now out of the hospital and will keep you informed as God allows the healing to begin.

Thanks again friends. You can do so much on behalf of others.

While it is a confession of what you were and a hope of a resurrection spiritually, I do not think your dad was bad in not being baptized. We will all make our choices one day and it is how we are filled with the love of God and in His son that gets us there. I believe the line goes, ...whosoever believeth in me shall not perish, but have everlasting life... It did not mention baptism. I am not trying to belittle the practice nor do I think it is unwarranted, but I do believe God judges the heart, not the actions. You cannot earn your way into Heaven, no matter what you do. It is granted by grace and faith.

As one of your fellow backbenchers, I always have a prayer for you and your family. will be back in touch soon, but still am hopelessly behind. We will see what June brings if I can't get to it before then. May the Lord belss you and keep you as I am quite sure you have successfully come through surgery by this time. Seems as if our back bench has been quiet for far too long.
