Wow....the media and freaky fanatics can talk all they want to about Roy against his old team...sure he will be somewhat emotional...but this is a game between 2 of the best teams in college basketball all year.
North Carolina has blitzed through there region, while KU has struggled a bit especially with that scrappy Davidson team...who by the way took out the Big East champs and the Big Ten champs...not too mention probably playing the toughest non-conference schedule in the ncaa's.
The matchups start at the top....and I am 1 fanatical Jayhawk fan who will give Roy Williams his due credit for 15 great years at Kansas and for being 1 of the best coaches in college hoops....however Bill Self is no slouch, and believe it or not very under rated. KU's matchup to Ty Lawson maybe tough, but he could very well meet his twin in Sherron Collins....but most likely will also see Russell Robinson gaurding him from time-to-time.
Wayne Ellington and Brandon Rush SHOULD be a great match up as well....depending on which Brandon Rush shows up on Saturday. Rush may very well end up guarding Green, which would leave a little bit of a height advantage for Ellington over Mario Chalmers.
It will be interesting to see how the matchups play out....and who will be on Hansbrough...My guess is the usual rotation of Jackson, Arthur, and Sasha Kaun....with the freshman Cole Aldrich having to eat up a few fouls trying to keep up with him.
I hope the game lives upto the hype.....Rock chalk Jayhalks!!!!
