This article sounds a bit suspicious...you really think that Bill Self is even thinking about taking this job??

I think Bill Self is thinking about the game with UNC right now.  After the season, he still won't be thinking about the OSU job.  If Kansas would hae been ousted in the second round, their fans would have been pretty frustrated with Self's tournament choking, and maybe then he leaves instead of being put on the hot seat.  But a Final Four cures everything.  No way Self leaves Kansas

Oh, the money will be right, all right. This move has been rumored about since mid-season, with the second half of the story being T Boone will back up the truck to get a high-profile hire.

The pecking order rumored at the time was Self first, Gillispie second. If either of those accept, it will without a doubt be for the highest paying job in college basketball.

There is no way Self leaves for OSU.  If you hear him respond to this rumor I don't think he is all that interested.  Saying that, it wouldn't surprise me if Self pretended to be somewhat interested in order to leverage a new deal with KU.  That is the bottom line here, if OSU offered a huge contract KU would likely step it up and re-work his deal to give him something comprable.

Other than leverage for a new deal, Self isn't going to consider the OSU gig, why would he leave one of the 4-5 best programs in the nation for a middle of the road job.  I understand if the money is huge than maybe, but I still think all that would do is end up with KU having to pony up anyways.

No I bet it's true. It was rumored before April Fools Day.

From what I've heard and read about Self is that he has a buyout arrangement in his contract for two schools....Ok. St. and Ark (he has major ties here as well).

When Ark was looking for a new coach last year, it was speculated they threw the kitchen sink at Self but he turned it down. Ark is a stronger program than Ok. St. so it makes me wonder if he turned down one of his buyout schools to remain at the "Great" Kansas then why would he accept this one? I don't know.

He'll probably just use the unbelievable money OSU and Pickens are going to throw at him to get a hefty raise at Kansas and keep on truckin'. That's what all these coaches do now. It's a kind of extortion.

frank_gore.....I can't imaine this being an April Fool's joke because it would undermine the credibility of CBS Sports.

This is eerily reminiscent of 2003 when UNC fired their coach the week before the Final 4 and Roy Williams was distracted by all the speculation for the whole week.

The best thing Coach Self could do is have an impromptu press conference this afternoon and squash the rumors and maybe prove his love for KU by taking an on-air Crimson & Blue blood transfusion.  Otherwise, this could be a huge distraction this week........AGAIN.

Wells that backstabber Gillespie will end up turning on Kentucky one of these days....or vice versa if Kentucky knows what's good for them

Now, if you hear Coach Self utter the words "I don't give a sh*t about Oklahoma State right now" you know he's gone like a Roy Williams Fast Break!

Somebody keep Bonnie Bernstein away from Bill this week.......Please!
