By the way if he wasn't out of options, he would still be with Cleveland or somewhere else besides "Reds" nation.
Plus your team needed somebody to make up for KGriffey. Don't get me wrong if he could stay healthy he would be a monster, but he has never been healthy. Also, without Brandon Phillips, who does your team have? Adam" I strike out so many times, I can create a Tornado" Dunn.
Maybe, just maybe, Dusty can really help your team out.
You are very welcome for Brandon Phillips. You can use him all season while you sit at home and wonder what it would have been like to win your divison or get to the playoffs. Maybe you guys can win 10 more games this season and still not make the playoffs. Get a life and stop thanking us for a pickup.
Enjoy Brandon Phillips. I also hope you enjoy your 8th straight losing season (10 of last 12, in case you weren't counting) and your 13th consecutive year without postseason baseball. Those of us on the North Coast will truly enjoy watching the disaster that is Cincinnati Reds baseball from a distance while we also watch the next generation Sons of Geronimo take it to the entire American League on their way to the AL Central Title, The AL Pennant, and the World Championship.
I would like to thank YOU for continuing letting us to play you during interleague play. It gives us some free wins which are difficult to come because we play in the Major Leagues.
However, you know nothing about that since you spend most of your time in the minor league NL.....
Your welcome. Great player...but still sad old Reds. You could use some of our pitching. See you in the playoffs. uh, I guess not. Signed Tribe Nation.
Hey wasn't being smart.. He is an awesome talent. You guys maybe suprised how good the Reds are... Perhaps an All Ohio world series? I say we have as good as chance as the Indians. Not because the Reds are better... We just dont have the Yanks, Red Sox, Tigers, Mariners, and Angels to deal with. Indians are fine with out Brandon We NEED him! But, the Reds are on there way back... We have pitching.. Our starting 5 are good. Harang, Arroyo, Cueto, Volquez, and Fogg.. Bullpen is much better this year and we can score. We will be better... Not sure good enough to beat the Cubs?? But we shall see....
Sorry that was mean! Althought I still think they'll be a 3rd or 4th place team, I think they resemble the Indians in 2004. There are some young elements about the Reds I like. Harang and Arroyo have to come up big this year. Watch out for Dusty Baker, because he's going to wear them out. Plus, he doesn't give the young guys the at-bats they need. He needs to let guys like Jeff Keppinger develop.
I really don't think Dusty wears guys out. If you look at the stats his guys aren't throwing any more pitches than others. I think it just got a lot of attention because Mark Prior was a sissy and couldn't stay healthy. And Kerry Wood was having arm trouble well before Dusty. Carlos Zambrano throws more pitches than either of those two ever did, and he's never hurt.
Not enough pitching Reds fans. Harang is tough and Cueto has great stuff. Arroyo? Too inconsistent. Volquez and Fogg? Just not that good. In order for the Reds to get better in the next couple of years, they need Bailey to become the real deal and Cueto to develop. But this year? No chance of sniffing the playoffs.
You're welcome... Thank you for being so bad that we look like an All-Star team compared to you... It is nice to know that, even if half of our team were to get the Ebola virus and die, we would still be the best team in Ohio...
Its not often that I'll ever agree with a guy named "SEC Blows" (although I would be a little upset about my team getting spanked by the same conference in the NC game two years running... next up, the GA Bulldogs) but he does know a little something about baseball. Dusty Baker was the wrong hire for Cincy, and they need to develop some talent, rather than play aging vets and wear out their young arms, which is exactly what Dusty will do. Also, look for him to sit Adam Dunn too much in the summer, because he's white and can't stand all that heat in the outfield.
