Before all of you go and ride off Xavier! Look at the match ups these teams mirror image each other and Xavier wont shot 57% from the line again they average 80%. And if you watched the UCLA it showed they have a huge weakness when people drive which is what xavier did to WVU all game. By the Way I think this game will be really close they teams both have players who are 6,10 who can shoot anywhere on the court along with both teams having great guards and forwards. I look for this game to be one of the best games all year. In my opinion UCLA will hurt itself trying to press due to great gaurd play and who ever shoots better will win this game both teams like to keep their opponents under 60 so this game could very well be a 55-54 game. So with all the great play Xavier has been getting from their players like BJ Raymond and being the only team with 6 players averaging 10 points. I say this game is won at the free throw line by Xavier and only by a couple. Who will punch their ticket to San Antonio?
Somehow, someway, it would be awesome if Xavier can find a way to a victory over UCLA. Then finally, those onoxius Cibncinnati Bearcat fans will have their answer to "How many times has Xavier been to the Final Four"?
I would be shocked if the UCLA guards get in foul trouble again. And with the resurgance of James Keefe, it will be difficult to stop Love, Keefe and Collison.
Congrats to Xavier from a Mountaineer fan. We beat UCLA both last year and the year before. I'm not saying we would have done it this year, but I do believe it would have been a close game. I believe Xavier matches up well with UCLA and whichever team shoots the best will win the game. I wish we had won the game, but we didn't, therefore I am rooting for the team that defeated us. Good luck to the Musketeers!!!!!
PS: I don't know if anyone can beat North Carolina if they continue to play the way they have been, but I hope someone does it!
After the WKU game, and all the lucky raps they've been unfairly given, UCLA will come out on Saturday focus. I think this will be the game where the Bruins will play a full 40 minutes. If they play intensely, focues, and tough as these are what wins games for UCLA, the X-Men will have some problems.
But, anyone can beat anyone in this tour.. Xavier can win.
All I gotta say is Look at Beasley's stats for the year.....Then look at Love's stats for the year...Look at uCLa's last month of ball.... looking a bit sluggish vs W Ken..... as an X fan...we got what we wanted and now this team has a shot to show the country how good we have known this program is.....X...A...V..IER
burbble, there's one pattern from UCLA's past few games you failed to mention: Toughness, resiliency and survival. Despite close games, despite having to come from behind by as many as 15 pts to good teams, and despite blowing 20 pt.s leads, they always end up winning.
If X don't bring the best game they can play, X will have some troubles I think. Be careful what you wish for. You just might get it!
With 170 votes in it seems you all are looking for Xavier to win in a close one.
That's just wishful thinking, it could happen but Xavier doesn't win the close ones, look at their record this season, they either win big or they don't win at all.
On the other hand UCLA has made winning close a fine tuned habbit this year.
The Musketeers better take control of the Bruins early and better not let up because these boys of Westwood know something about comeback too!
