Where are you two.  I miss your insight!  People please don't tell me these two have been banned that would be awful!

Yawkee---reyesformvp is present and accounted for. I just got in from a week in Baltimore ( some beautiful and fun areas----some not so nice) and although I'm not going to be posting as much as before, now that the season is starting I hope to check in a few times a day. I have been totally focused on work--and selling my house--looking for a new place to live, and just haven't found time to post.

woops, I guess it has been that long since I saw you, haha, I spelled your name wrong!  My bad!

Best of luck with the move, selling your house and work!

I could see the Red Sox---I have to be honest--I obviously love Santana--but there is something about the Mets that I just can't put my finger on-that I don't trust.

Could it be Oliver Perez?  I mean John Maine and Johan Santana should be fine, but wouldn't he and El Doque be the question mark with the Mets pitching staff?

Billy Wagner could be an issue as well, that is if his confidence is slightly lacking?  It could be the Red Sox v Mets.  I also have a wierd feeling about the sox as well.  I mean Josh Beckett is coming off a tremendous year and now he is hurt, Curt Schilling is out.  Dice-k well is Dice-k and after those guys there aren't a lot of pitchers I am fully comfortable with.  Don't get me wrong Clay, Jon Lester and Tim Wakefield I have confidence in, but not as much as I would want right now!

I like the pitching Yawkee---1-4 are very good--and the bullpen seems more solid with the possibility of a healthy Sanchez----but all good teams need solid depth because injuries do occur---and the Mets have noone to call up if  there are injuries--and no backup at SS and 1B. They are old in spots and injuries are going to factor in.

This is true the Mets do not have a back-up behind Reyes at short stop, but they have Carlos Delgado and can't Shawn Green play first base?  Granted not sure who that would mean would play outfield.

Is Moises Alou healthy yet?  For whatever reason the Mets website is freezing on me, so I can't check!

Orlando Hernandez is the question mark with Oliver Perez.  Sorry I couldn't remember El Doque's name until just now!

Green retired---Alou is not healthy yet---it looks like Beltran,Church and believe it or not Angel Pagan to start the year--with Endy getting plenty of playing time. The Met lineup is not as good as it was "on paper" last year--hopefully the improved pitching will make up for it.
